    Chatter Matter Notebooks: You will find a new notebook in your child’s backpack today. This is their “Chatter Matter.” It is a daily
    communication notebook where your child will write you a friendly letter each day telling you about what they learned, as well as reminders.
    Please take time each night to read the letter, sign it at the bottom, and even write them a little note back. If you have any questions for me, you
    can write them in here as well. On Fridays, your child will be writing their letter to me instead of you and I will write them back over the
    weekend. Thank you for helping to make this a meaningful activity!
    Study Island: Last week your child took the study island pretest in both math and communication arts. This is a website we will be using at
    school to help your child practice skills we are learning. The address is www.studyisland.com. There is a link on my webpage as well. Your
