    Confirmation Announcements for May 4, 2016

    May 11 Last Confirmation Night


    We will meet at 5:30 at Bagley Bowl Inn in Bagley. If you need a ride to Bagley please let me know
    ASAP. If you want to drive separately and can take others carpooling is suggested. We will bowl
    from 5:30 to 6:30. At 6:30 we will drive over to DaRoos to eat pizza together. After this time you
    are free to go, however an adult or parent must give you a ride back to Gonvick or to your home.
    I am asking that you turn in your workbook Divine Drama: Biblical Story. You should have this
    done and ready to turn in. Please also turn in the other workbook I handed out at confirmation.
    We will complete this in a later class.
    Confirmation Camp/Youth Mission Trip
    You should have received information in the mail concerning Bible Camp. I need all registrations
    for camp in ASAP. I will group register us and need parent permission forms signed and given back
    to me. The dates for camp are as follows:
    Junior High Camp

    July 10-15, 2016

    Going into 7th and 8th Grade

    Explorers Camp

    July 17-21, 2016

    Going into 6th Grade

    There are discounts available for sending more than one family member. Also, our parish believes
    in confirmation camp and its valuable experience to developing faith. Scholarship funds offered by
    the womans group plus other funding sources are available. In addition to this students have the
    ability to raise funds through two fundraising events that will be occurring before camp.
    A Youth Mission Trip to the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul will be tentatively scheduled for June 2125. (Tuesday through Saturday). There will be an informational meeting for this trip soon.
    Students will be asked to commit (reserving a spot through a deposit) and helping to raise funds to
    offset costs.
    Pentecost Red Geranium Sales
    Your student was given tonight a book of tickets to sell red geraniums. The pre-selling of plants
    allow us to get a good piece count to greenhouse. Students will need to keep track of receipts to get
    credit for their sales. Plants will also be available on Sunday, May 15, to purchase. Proceeds from
    the plants sale go directly to mission trip and camp scholarships.
    Servant Exchange Board
    A Servant Exchange Board will be posted at both United Lutheran and Samhold Lutheran Church.
    Students will find jobs that they can do for payment towards their camp/mission trip account.
    Members from both churches can post tasks they would like done (window cleaning, mowing,

    milking cows, etc.). Servants will be paid directly to their camp scholarship. Look for the job cards
    at both churches on May 15, 2016.
