What We Do
Our goal is to prepare the Engineering
students of tomorrow to be the best individuals they can be, inside and outside
of the workplace. To do this we offer a
number of competitions both nationwide
and statewide, where members compete
against those from other institutions
though showing the best presentational
skills, along with showing their proficiency in persuasion through writing. More
examples include:

Our story
The EPIC was originally formed due to
the Engineering curriculum lacking the
proper communication courses needed
to create an Engineer who is truly ready
to face everything their careers with offer. Also, it emphasizes the need of
proper linguistic and writing techniques
inside and outside the workplace. The
EPIC focuses on making the individual
student more competitive, and more successful for the future.

based on an idea/concept of their own.
The judges present will determine which
individual had a better understating of
rhetorical usage in their attempts to persuade and inform the judges. Also, the
topics of the written work will be chosen
by the individual, a list of about 20 topics
are listed online with the requirements!
Members who are able to use persuasive methods the best in the given situation from the topic they chose will be presented with an award or promotion to the
next competition. Preparation for these
competition last several weeks, with peer
review and reinforcing competitions within the club members!

necessary to successfully build their
presentations or inventions, along with
professional reviews of their work. Join
