1. POC summary
This document introduces the necessary steps to setup the environment and change between
different LVDS display screens.
Delivered items:
Head unit preconfigured with capacitive display driver
Display Config setup application: DisplayConfigSetup.exe

Set IP of the Windows Ethernet connection on PC to 192.168.1.100


Connect PC and target board with an Ethernet cable
Extract DisplayConfigSetup.exe application files into the desired location

3. Usage Summary
3.1 Launch DisplayConfig application
Content of DisplayConfigSetup.exe inside folder.

DisplayConfig application communicates with head unit via Ethernet. The connection will
be available in maximum one minute since power up.
In order to connect to the head unit press Connect button as highlighted below:

If the connection is done successfully the Connect button label will change to
Disconnect.

4. Display Config application supported features


4.1 Display Coding

-3DG4TP option is the resistive display. DG4TP specifications below:


115200bps baud rate
3 channels LVDS
Support messages according to Messagerie_Applicative_NAC_LVDS_BiDIR_115KB
DG7TP option is the capacitive display. DG7TP specifications below:
500000bps baud rate
4 channels LVDS
Support messages according to Messagerie_Applicative_NAC_LVDS_BiDIR_500KBs
Select the required item from the coding combo-box (either DG7TP or DG4TP).

After the selection is done following options are available:


Yes : head unit can be restarted using the DisplayConfig application. Power cut will take
place after several seconds.
No: normally turn off the head unit via CAN.
In the next lifecycle the specified display type can be tested.
4.2 Test backlight change

Backlight will change automatically while moving the slider. The change is applied for the first
connect screen in current lifecycle. If a change is done on the coding side restart is required.
