Day 10 - Tuesday, December 1st 2015

Assessment of Pupils Progress

1 How did the teacher monitor classroom activities?
She walks around the class and see who need help and warn the students
who talks or make noise. And she usually sit with the low mental abilities,
because they need help more than the other students, but that doesnt
mean that she sit with them all the time.
2 What sort of designated assessment tasks are integrated
within classwork?
She use different assessment tasks for example worksheets, tests and
presentation.
3 How does s/he assess the learning during lesson?
By assessing students performance through assessments, worksheets,
exams and assessing group work and activities. Assessing students
learning help her to know the low mental abilities students and the high
mental abilities students, and this one of the most important things she
must know about her students, because depending on that, she will do
task and activities for both types of students.
4 How did s/he give feedback to facilitate learning?
She give them positive reinforcement, for example she give sticker for the
students who finish the worksheet first. Also engorge them to join, share
and speak in the classroom about their needs so she can help them to
facilitate learning easier.

5 Did s/he give homework?

Yes, the homework was making Turtle Craft, because she wanted to link it
to the lesson which is about the letter T. I really like this homework
because children will have fun making an easy and fun craft of a turtle.
6 Which of these strategies would you use/not use? Why?
I will use the homework strategy because the children will have the
chance to work with their parents and develop their fine motor
skills. There is no strategy I didnt like.
7 Was there anything that could have been done differently?

Yes the Turtle Craft homework, I think it will be better if showed them
how to make a turtle craft then ask from them to teach their parents the
way and do the craft together.
8 What surprised you?
The teacher relationship with her students, they both respect each
other and love each other. Which is one of my further teaching
goals.
9 What shocked you?
In the end of the class, the teacher ask the students about the lesson that
she just gave them, some students answer the questions, but some
students doesnt know the questions they even look like they dont know
what they teacher is talking about. For example the lesson was about the
letter T, so in the end of the class, she asked a child, what was our letter
today? He didnt answer and he looked confused.
10 What delighted you?

On the Flag Day, I loved the way how the teachers act, deal and help each other.
And the activity they did for the students for example the Human flag.
