PTT ID with 5 Tone ID...TX and RX Radios TX Radio (Assuming Freqs, Tones, Squelch are set and radio is in PMR mode) MemCh Screen: Channel Mute= Cont (not muted)or SGL(muted until call is received) \ Log In= L-in or L-off Form= EIA ID = 28 TX Radios ID code (this is actually a pointer to another screen) TX Code CH Screen(Under 5 Tone) Line 28 = TX Radio ID (This Radio's ID#) This ID number will be a 5 digit ID ALWAYS ending with the same number for all radios in the system. EX: Unit number 2378 will have a “23781 entered in. All radios in your system will end with the “1”. When you TX, the radio sends the ID (2378 and a 1) with every log in or off. RX Radio ( Assuming Freqs, Tones, Squelch are set) Mem Ch Screen: Form= EIA RX C.No= I (this is a pointer, referring to Line 1 in RX Code Ch Screen under 5 Tone. This Is the spot where the RX radio sees the ID from the TX radio. RX Code CH (Under 5 Tone) Line 1= Enter in a“ +4+4++1” . The plus’s are place holder and allows the RX radio to see any first 4 numbers TX'd in 5-Tone mode....the “1” is the qualifier and tells the RX radio to actually look at the 1* 4 digits. All radios involved need the “1 “. RX Code Setting Compare Digit...set which digits you want displayed on the RX radio display. Example: In receiving ID 23781, if you want the display to show the “378” part of the ID, enter in 234 (these are the digit spaces you want displayed)
