Activity: Los Pasaportes
Target Audience: Beginning Spanish (could be modified for other languages)
Learning Objectives: Exchanging Names, Introductions, Countries, Nationality, Birthdays, Colors

Basic Process:

This activity requires that the student manipulate the verb ser into its various forms to request and
receive information. Students are given passports from different Spanish speaking countries and
asked to fill in their own information on the inside left. They are then asked to get up and find their
fellow paisanos by walking around and asking De donde eres? Once they are regrouped by country,
they must interview another person filling in the information on the inside right. For the flag colors, you
could ask them to look in their textbook, or use their smartphone/tablet to look up the colors on the
internet. To wrap up, one person from each country is asked to stand up and introduce a classmate.

Potential Modifications:
Increasing the number of interviews to include more than one country
During the introductions you could incorporate plural conjugations by asking someone to
introduce himself and another person or to introduce 2 classmates together.

Outside:
(back)
(front)

Buen viaje!

Inside:
