Build fractions from unit fractions by applying and extending previous understandings of operations on

By the end of the lesson the students will be able to illustrate unit fractions.

Possible Problems: 1-misunderstand how divide to equal part.
2-misunderstand some vocabulary related to the lesson.
Misconceptions: Student has restricted his definition of fractions to one type of situation or model,such as
part/whole with pieces. For example: students do not recognize fractions as a point on a number line or as
division calculations.
Solutions for the Possible Problems and Misconceptions:
Give instruction before starting the lesson.
Introduce the vocabulary that the teacher will use in the lesson.
The teacher will but a timer for each activity.

The student will listen to the teacher instruction for each activity , then
the students will start doing or solveing.
Also, the teacher will put timer for each activity , the students should
return everything back and remove for next group activity.

procedures):

First of all the teacher will introduce the introduce what the students
will do in this class, the teacher will collect the students and give them
instruction for each activity on each group.
The teacher will put dish with color on first group, the students should
use a fraction card to divide the dish to equal part and color it.

The teacher will put a clay and modern poles on a second group , the
students should use a fraction card to make a circal and show the
teacher part of a whole.

The teacher will put a snake game with card answer on third group, the
students should play the game by througing the dice,choose one
fraction card and answer the question on card answer.
Last group, the teacher will put a small display that showing some
animals and one kind of fruit , the students should listen the teacher
question and write the correct answer on the disply.

Students will focus and participate with their teacher. They will ask
their teacher questions when they didnt understand.

Students will try to solve the question to have a right answer.
