    The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted for grand theft. Surveillance video from a Foods Co grocery store on February 2nd shows a Hispanic woman, estimated to be between 20-30 years old, 5'8" and 120 pounds with brown hair in a ponytail, take a victim's unattended wallet from a checkout stand and leave the store with it in her shopping basket. Anyone with information about the woman is asked to contact the Bakersfield Police.

    For Immediate Release February 5, 2010

    The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in


    identifying a suspect wanted for grand theft.

    On 2/2/10, the victim accidentally left her wallet at the check stand at Foods Co,
    2505 Haley Street. When she returned it was gone. Surveillance video depicts
    the woman in the attached surveillance photo taking the unattended wallet and
    placing it in her shopping basket, then leaving the store.

    The woman appears to be a Hispanic, 20-30 years old, 5’8” tall, and 120 pounds
    with brown hair in a pony tail.

    Anyone with information regarding the identity of this woman is encouraged to


    call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
