Non-uniform day
The Eco-council will be holding a whole school sponsored non
-uniform day on the 5th June 2015. We will be raising money
for the WWF's 'Wear it Wild' campaign. The WWF fight to
save the world's most endangered animals. Over the last 45
years 52% of the worlds wildlife population has disappeared;
we feel its time to take a stand! On the day we would like all
the children to dress in their wildest clothes - animal
costumes, prints, crazy hair - let's go wild! There will be
winners of the fancy dress and prizes to be won! We would
like to ask for a 1 donation (or anything you can spare) on
the day. Members of the Eco-council will also be on the
playground in the morning and evening with donation
buckets. #Wearitwild.

Using Talk 4 Writing and our Text that teach book Discovering Penguins we have been
writing our own opening paragraph, based upon our exciting opportunity, of working with Tom
Viljoen, from the Exeter Chief community coaching team. Not only is Tom developing our tag
rugby techniques, he is working on Year 4s mathematical problem solving skills too. Over a six
week period, Tom is working alongside Year 4, coaching them towards playing tag rugby
matches with local schools.

Our fitness levels have also been stretched this afternoon with Mrs Kilburn Thompson (Killer),
fine tuning year 4s cycling skills. Together with coaches Coach Sam Cann and Coach Becky
Burchill from South Dartmoor School Sports Partnership, all of Year 4 have continued with their
Bikeability training and all can cycle safely, with confidence.
