How To Format A PC: Guideline For Formatting A Computer
Introduction
During my internship, I was assign to format 6 computers continuously in a day.
Completion of this task took me 2 days as the installation of windows grabs a lot of time
mainly because of its process of extracting all windows files before it can continue to
install the Operating System into the PC.
A problem that I have faced during the installation is when the Hard Disk which is inside
of the PC is in a different format, meaning not in NTFS but it has been converted into a
different Driver format. Most of the users who are about to install or upgrade their
computer into a new fresh Windows will obviously face the above problem but luckily
this step didnt stop me from formatting the Computers.
I have made this book to help users with the Installation of Windows in any PC either to
upgrade or newly to Windows installation. Follow these steps and you will learn the
proper ways to format a Computer.
To format a computer, basically you will need a windows installation CD or DVD. The
disk can be found when you purchase a new Computer. This installation CD/DVD must
be kept at all times because it is the LIFE SAVER for you Computer. Be sure to own a
windows installation CD/ DVD as it can help repair your Computer in future.
1. Plug in the following inputs/ cables/ wires to allow the PC to be turned On.
*if you have internet connection, do not plug in the LAN cable just yet.
