Marlene Palafox is a current student at Saint Joseph High School who plans to attend San Francisco State University. She has volunteered at Saint Raymond by helping teachers from Kindergarten through 8th grade and participated in the Kairos program in 2014. As captain of the SJ Varsity Soccer team, she had leadership responsibilities including speaking to players and acting as a coach, and received high marks on an anatomy project requiring drawing of the skeleton and organs. Through soccer and membership in Key Club all four years and GAA Club freshman year, she has collaborated with others and worked to fundraise for charities. Additionally, she helped decorate floats for the Rose Parade in Pasadena.
