    Site Supervisors Final Evaluation of Students Fall Practicum


    Using the ASCA Standards as a guide (16 page document), please
    respond to the following as one part of the final evaluation of your
    interns Fall Practicum.
    1. Select two or three Strengths of this counseling intern at the
    end of the Fall Semester Practicum. Elaboration will be
    appreciated.
    Katie has been a wonderful asset to the Stonecreek staff. She is a selfstarted, takes initiative, and is great at gaining rapport with the
    students. She makes sure that she organizes herself well each week to
    assure all of her tasks are completed. She is eager to learn and is
    willing to assist in anyway. She seeks help when needed, but also
    shows leadership skills by anticipating when tasks needs to be
    completed and does them without prompting.

    2. Conversely, select two or three areas you think offer the greatest
    Challenges for this intern at the end of the Practicum.
    Elaborate please.
    One challenge (which really is not a big issue) for Katie is to be more
    active in getting students to meet with her when she calls for them.
    Sometimes, after making a call slip for students to meet with her, they
    dont show up. Katie could try to make more of an effort to ensure
    they meet with her at their assigned time. Another challenge is that
    Katie needs to ensure the confidentiality of her students as she is
    meeting with them. Sometimes the administrative offices are all
    occupied and she has to be creative when meeting with students, but
    it is imperative that she respect the confidentiality of all students,
    which may mean being okay with moving some students out of ear
    shot so that the student she is meeting with is able to share freely.

    3. Considering the noted challenges, how would you recommend


    the intern approach these challenges in the Spring Internship?
    What activities would aid in this process?
    Katie is very open to critique, so as long as she remains cognizant of
    these issues, I know she will be able to quickly tweak these two issues.
