Today, according to a survey conducted in 2011, 77% of Malaysia teens

own a phone. I agree that having a smartphone is necessary among teenagers


nowadays. The benefits that having a smartphone among teenagers is to
connect other people, business platform and as information platform.
Firstly, having a smartphone is a must for teenager because it can help to
communicate among other people. In addition to phone calls and text messaging
you can communicate through email, instant messaging. Not only do you have
more ways to communicate but you can do it much more quickly and you can
transfer much larger volumes of data than a regular phone.
Secondly, having a smartphone is a must for teenager as a business platform.
For small businesses mobile phones, if used to their full potential, are a valuable.
Business people today use their mobiles to stay in touch with their offices,
customers, staff, partners and suppliers. However, the potential of mobiles
extends much further than simply the ability to make and receive calls anywhere
and anytime.
Lastly, having a smartphone among teenagers as an information platform.
Mentioning apps for smartphones, there are a large amount of apps for
smartphones that can assists teenager in school. Some apps consist of scientific
calculators, kindle app (for reading books), facts and history with geography
maps and a lot more.
In conclusion, I agree that having a smartphone is necessary among
teenagers nowadays. The benefits that having a smartphone among teenagers is
to connect other people, business platform and as information platform.

All the figures explains the growth of internet users in seven different region
in the world in 2012. It is also shows by geographic region and penetration rates
from 2004 to 2012.
The lowest growth of internet users is 153.3% at North America while
Africa has the highest growth, 3606.7%. Besides, world distribution for Middle
East is 3% greater than Oceania or Australia. Although, Asia is the highest
internet users on 2012 but it still among the lowest according to the penetration
rates. Latin America or Caribbean was standing consistently with the internet
users and penetration rates compare to the others. Furthermore, world internet
users per 100 people from 2004 until 2012 showed the graph with gradually
increasing.
To summarize, the developing countries are still behind the developed
countries in term of internet penetration. It is predicted that there will be more
internet user in the future.
