    3) Project Objective

    To study basic fiber-optic communication system and provide advantages of glass fiber over copper
    conductors. How it can be used in devices and the power loss for optical fiber. To study how it reduces
    manufacturing cost and low attenuation loss in Fiber Optics.

    For this i have used several documents written by researchers in developing Fiber . Information s, papers,
    that are made by the firms who are using the Fiber Optics have been used in this project.

    5) Brief Summery of project(to be duly certified by the industry guide)

    Fiber optics have become the industry standard for the terrestrial transmission of telecommunication
    information. Cable television companies also use fiber for delivery of digital video services.The principle
    of total internal reflection is used to propagate light.There are two types of propagation for fiber-optic
    cable: multimode or single mode. These modes perform differently with respect to both attenuation and
    time dispersion, it reduces manufacturing cost and low attenuation loss in Fiber Optics.
