    ELA/Social Studies
    Welcome! This week we hit the road running! You
    will be issued a Wordly Wise book to help you
    learn new vocabulary. Each night you will have
    homework to complete. Please study 4-5 words
    each night in preparation for Fridays test. We will
    begin our 1
    st
    chapter book this week, and we will
    cover many skills along the way. You must be
    responsible and accountable for your learning!
    Math/Science
    Were off to a great beginning of the school year! Last week
    we learned about each other. Now we start learning topics
    related to Math and Science.
    Math Making a foldable, singing a rap, and playing center
    games will help us review place value. Homework for the
    week is:
    Mon pgs. 15-16; Tues pgs. 21-22, Wed pgs. 27-28;
    Thursday Review for Quiz on Friday.
    Science Earth Science is our first unit. We will make a model
    to learn about Earths layers and how they move. On Friday,
    we will test the question: Who remembers more girls or
    boys? Study science notes for 10 minutes each night.
