This is your opportunity to join Deloitte's Markets, Derivatives and Treasury ( MDT) practice, including our new joint venture, aimed at serving our
Canadian and UK member firms.
Working on high profile international assignments, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of financial advisory projects, with a
mix of both public and private company engagements, within a highly commercial, client focused environment.
Role
As a Deputy Manager/ Manager you will:
Take a lead role in delivering advisory services to high growth organizations with a diverse team
Create long term relationships at a senior client level
Execute a client service plan on complex engagements working closely with Partners
Identify and lead business development opportunities
Achieve expertise in a specialization
Actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential
Create a learning environment through leadership

Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
Solid academic background with a PhD or Masters Degree in Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering or other relevant post graduate degree
FRM, PRM, CFA is a plus, but not required
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience related to financial instruments valuation and/ or quantitative risk management
Strong external consulting or advisory experience is a plus
Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
Programming knowledge of Matlab or C++ is an asset
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
Experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing
client expectations, project profitability and team leadership
Experienced in business development and building a practice
Demonstrated evidence of strong leadership in creating a learning environment
Execute a client service plan on complex engagements and work closely with the Partners in exceeding our client's expectations while identifying and
mitigating business risks associated with projects
Canadian travel required, occasional international travel. Candidates must be able to enter the USA to work on client assignments
