In 2008 Melissa Malzkuhn a student at Gallaudet University realized the lack of unity in Deaf youth community in America
She wrote her thesis on advocacy and community organizing deaf youths in America Deaf Youth USA was founded Deaf Youth USA is a non-profit organization for all Deaf youth ages 18 to 35.

Melissa Malzkuhn graduated from Gallaudet University She started Motion Lab, a creative collaboration, at Gallaudet University, to look into techniques bringing creative literature and experimental media on a bilingual interface to create visual narratives for learning.
Advocates for deaf youths and human rights she also served on the board of the World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section from 2007-2011. Director of a story App Visual Language and Visual Learning, VL2. The App is visually custom-designed, and is bilingual in both American Sign Language and English, the Apps are designed for young children learning to read and is available on the App Store.

GOAL

Is for social justice through social media and activism. "social justice recognizing different systems of oppression.
For example: ableism, ageism, classism, heterosexism, racism, sexism, and audism. As a community they address issues and advocate against them to make change.

PROMOTING SOCIAL JUSTICE!


Hosting workshops, trainings, camps, and community forums together online. Those avenues will encourage them to recognize the system, recognize ourselves, and together they spread equality.
