From: Karen E. Stinson Certification Officer Re: Teacher License Application Process Danielle Hopkins
We are providing this letter to explain the teacher license application process at UWPlatteville and to verify the status of the license application for Danielle Hopkins. Applicant: Danielle Hopkins will be submitting an application for a Wisconsin teaching license in Physical Education, Health, Adaptive Physical Education, and Athletic Coaching (early childhood through adolescence). Process: Towards the end of the semester, the cooperating teacher and student will complete the final evaluation and a grade will be posted by the Clinical Experiences Office. Teacher education faculty will complete reviews on students' licensure portfolios and the School of Education will post a "pass" grade. Once all final grades are posted, the Registrar's Office verifies completion of all university requirements and issues a cleared transcript. If the student has met all program and licensure requirements, then I, as the certification officer, will forward verification of program completion to DPI and recommend licensure. The teacher candidate will submit their license application electronically, including payment and all supporting documentation, directly to the Department of Public Instruction. In the meantime, please accept this verification that Danielle will be submitting his/her application in the near future. If you need additional information or clarification, please dont hesitate to contact my assistant, Liz Runde, at (608) 342-1130, e-mail [email protected].
