Circuit Theory I Report # 5 Theory: To analyse the given circuit in preliminary work we need to simplfy by usiny Delta-Y transformation.
In the circuit analysis we can the value of k k=Vo/Vi k=0.4 + () . mod100(090 + 086)/100 k=0.78
Also we dont forget that the ratio of the resistances in series is equal to the ratio of their voltage. (The equality is found by using the node voltage method) (3R1||R2) / (3R1||RL) = (Vi-Vo) / Vo
Procedure 1)We constructed the circuit by using R1=50 ohm R2=20 ohm 2)The signal generator is adjusted to apply 10.sin(2.pi.2400. t) 3-4-5)We used triangular wave and we connected X-Y chanel to Vi-Vo 6)By using oscilloscope in dual mode we obtained Vi=5 -+ 0.04 (The sensitivity is 0.2mV/div) Vo=3.8 -+ 0.04 (The sensitivity is 0.2mV/div) k =Vo / Vi = 0.76 -+ 0.04
7)By using X-Y mode of the oscilloscope we provided it to draw the slope
8)(1.4-+0.2) / (2-+0.2) = 0.7-+ 0.2 This value contain our theorical value. Also by using DMM we measured Rab and found that Rab is 51.1 ohm 9-10-11)We detached our circuit from signal generator and connected a DC 12 V.But we didnt see difference. 12-13)We measured the node voltages and DC branch currents with DMM
Conclusion With this circuit design, the voltage needed us is obtained.By changing the value of the R2 , the voltage across RL is regulated.Inside of RL we can connect another circuit such as transmitter. The resistance which belong the signal generator provide easiness to divide the voltage. Also R1 is used in attenuator circuit because it provide us to see small changing by controling the value of R2. Inside of using the voltage divider we can use attenuator circuit. Therefore we can obtain more sensitive voltage measurement. If we dont obtain necessary value of the voltage across the RL , we should change Rs on the signal generator(600 ohm output inside of 50 ohm output)
