Theodore Robert Cowell was born November 24th, 1949. He was raised with his grandparents, thinking that they were his parents and that his mom was his elder sister. During this time, it was common for unwed mothers to do give over their child like this. When his mother did get married to a man, named Johnnie Bundy, Theodore, become Ted Bundy. At this time, Teddy still hadn't known that his sister was actually his mom. Ted became more isolated in the family when his step father tried to involve him into the family, he didn't share the want to become apart the changes in his family. Even though this was the case, Ted did amazing in school and was among the popular crowds while going to school. In 1967, while attending University of Washington he met Stephanie Brooks, the girl he thought was the love of his life. She did not return his feelings as strongly in their relationship. When she graduated, she ended their relationship ultimately crushing Ted Bundy. Dropping out of college, Ted Bundy found out about who his mom was and how he was actually born into. This impact was devastating on Ted, but he did not let his affect him completely at the time. He went back to school and got high honors in his major in psychology, but also finding that he had a big interest in politics, he soon became a Republican Representative. When he got into this, he become a known and wealthy man, his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Brooks came to him. During this time though, Ted was with his current girlfriend Meg Anders was not aware of the adultery. After Stephanie had thought that their relationship would lead to marriage, Ted left her leaving behind a little of the burden of pain she had caused him years ago.
Even though Ted had left Brooks, he still obsessed with her. His crimes in young women and girls related similar physical characteristics as Stephanie. He would hurt them, rape them and eventually kill them. Ted was a disturbing man, and didn't always stop sexual interacts with these women after death. Ted Bundy ended up committing over 50 murders and hurt many many women. One these women was the daughter of a police officer. When Ted moved to Utah after college, he killed the Chief of polices' daughter, and nothing was stopping this man from finding his daughter's killer once it was figured that the crimes in Washington were similar to the crimes happening now in Utah. When this was reported, the description of the man, ex-wife Meg Anders noticed to match Ted. She called the police, but when the police talked to Ted, they dismissed him as being a real suspect due to his normality to society. He didn't send up any red flags to the cops, as Ted says later in his last interview. Ted Bundy confessed to murder and rape in his trials, found guilty in the state of Florida and was sentenced to death. He was in prison for ten years, before he gave his final interview stating that he was not to blame for his actions. That his family was not to blame for his actions. Ted Bundy blamed society's influence on the world, he blamed pornography for his awful and disgusting actions towards women and their families. In January 24th, 1989 at 7:16 a.m., Ted Bundy was sentenced to the electric chair and died. His body was cremated and his ashes went his popular dumping spot for the bodies he had murdered, Washington state's Cascade Mountains.
