National Security Language Initiative for Youth Scholarship to Study Abroad Recipient has shown exceptional promise and interest in international relations, specifically South Korea. They have also shown outstanding leadership, involvement in their community and school, and have a high GPA. Students awarded scholarship will receive a scholarship to study abroad through the U.S State Department for 7 weeks in South Korea. The applicant pool for this scholarship was roughly 5,000 applicants.

Altar Server Ranchos Palos Verdes Saint John Fisher Parish Grades 6,7,8,9,10,11,12 2 Hours/Week Total Hours: 730 ! Responsibilities include: serving the pastor of the parish, following typical altar server procedures during mass, teaching new altar servers, enforcing rules and regulations to other altar servers, and offering any other general help during and out of mass.

Teacher's Aide Ranchos Palos Verdes Saint John Fisher Parish School Grades 9,10,11,12 ! Teacher's Aide was selected by teacher personally and recommended by principal. Responsibilities include: assisting in carryingout lesson plans, cleaning classroom, tutoring in and out of the classroom in various subjects and ages, supervision of minors, and assisting in class work and class activities.

Education of Service Dogs and purchase of a Bullet Proof Vest for Service Dogs Saint Joseph High School K-9 Club Grade 10 4 Hours/Week Total Hours: 16 ! Raised over $300 for the education of service dogs and for bullet proof vests for service dogs. Participated in raising awareness about people with disabilities and the need for service dogs in today's society.
