A niche is a role the animal takes in the environment. In an habitat two animals cant have the same roles which means have the same niches, if this happens it might cause imbalance to the animal kingdom

Lions are the top predators in their habitat and have almost no natural predators. Apex predators are important to the environment because they keep the herbivore populations in check. Lions referred prey animals are wildebeests, zebras, and warthogs and they share their habitat with many other predators, such as hyenas, wild dogs, crocodiles, and cheetahs.
