Install the software (be sure to set doPDF as your default printer) Open Vitasource bookshelf Open YOUR book. Open Windows Calculator Minimize the main vital source window and resize the book view so you can fit the calculator on the screen too

Change the view, under view on the menu bar, to facing pages view.

g. You should only see the front cover 1 page

h. Open Easy Macro Recorder (EMR), the program icon will be on the system tray lower right corner by clock.

Right click the EMR icon, go to options and set the loop to however many pages you have divided by 2 and add 10 just to be sure.

j. Set the macro speed to fast, or very fast if you have a good comp. k. Now we are almost ready to record the macro. l. Print the first 3 pages manually so you know the movements for the macro.

m. Select file/print. Set the first page range (from: *a+ to: *a+) ((Dont try to change the page numbers beyond 2 because it wont let you.))

n. Click continue.

o. Should see the printer selection menu with doPDF as printer.

p. Press OK q. doPDF save file opens.

r. Press 0 + 1 = on the calculator and go to edit/copy s. Go to the end of the file name but before the .pdf and left click then right click and select paste.

u. Click the right side of the front cover of the book to advance to the next 2 pages

v. Select file/print

w. Never mind the page range just click continue.

x. Press OK

y. Click = on the calculator, [value = 2]

Select edit/copy on the calculator Left click between file name and (dot)extension ie. (yourmomma*.vbk) Right click and select paste. Press OK.

dd. Right click the EMR icon again, select record, name the file. Once you press save, you are recording so try to be efficient with your movements.

ee. When recording: I. Click the right side of the two page view to switch to the next 2 pages. II. Select file/print III. Press continue IV. Press ok V. Press = on the calculator, go to edit/copy VI. Left click behind the file name, but before the extension, right click and select paste. VII. Click OK. VIII. Press stop to stop recording the macro. IX. Right click the EMR icon, select Play Back. X. Go do something else for a while. If you are really bored you can figure out how long it will take to print your book by timing how long it takes to print one set of pages. And using this equation:

Total seconds 60 = total minutes.

Once the book is printed, you have to compile all the pages into one file. 1. Open PDF Split & Merge 2. Select MERGE

3. Press ADD

4. Select your files to add (you have to do these one at a time) 5. Word of advice, do ~50 at a time, sometime the PDF writer will get the pages out of order. 6. When you have the first 50 or so in, press merge

Name the file Press save Navigate to where you saved, and open the file. Check the page order. If everything is in order do the rest of the book the same way. Then merge the secondary files together and PRESTO!

When I figure out how to put the text recognition OCR into the document, I will let you all know.
