Overall Comments:
Liedtke, Danielle
Danielle was very professional, treated the students with respect and gained their trust easily. She managed many student behaviours very well by using management strategies such as proximity and redirection. I noticed a lot of reinforcement of positive behaviour which works very well with the Kindergarten students she was working with. Danielle taught a gym lesson where she introduced the class to the parachute. She was aware of student needs during this activity and showed good timing and flexibility. After the lesson we talked about always being very explicit with all expectations when using equipment for the first time. Danielle also did a read aloud with the class. She chose a wordless book which was very exciting to the students. This lesson was very beneficial to the students oral language. Danielle used many questioning techniques during this lesson and the students were very engaged in the learning. There is an ESL student in the class and she made sure he had an opportunity to be successful. The whole class enjoyed having Danielle in our class and we look forward to having her continue to work with us in the Spring.
