The Honorable David R. Obey, Chair

The Honorable Jerry Lewis, Ranking Member
Committee on Appropriations
H-218, The Capitol
Washington, DC 20515

Dear Chair Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

I am requesting funding for Building Skills and Capacity of Children of Prisoners in

fiscal year 2010. The entity to receive funding for this project is Project Avary, Inc.,
located at 1018 Grand Avenue, San Rafael, CA 94901. The funding would be used for
improvement of Project Avary's ability to provide mental health assistance for children
under the age of 12 of incarcerated parents and training and preparation for teens making
the transition to independence. I certify that I have no financial interest in this project.

Member of Congress
