    ZTE ZXDSL 831 II ADSL router comes preconfigured for SLT Broadband. To connect to the internet follow the steps below. Open a web browser. Type http://192.168.1.1 (Default IP address of ADSL router) on the address space. If the router and computer are in the same network, a Pop up window will appear to enter the username and password to open the Graphical User Interface (GUI) of the ADSL router. Enter

    Enter the username & password provided by SLT and click on Connect.

    However, if you encounter any problem please follow the steps below. Note: To save the username and password you may follow the following steps. Configuration of Computer / Notebook Change the IP address of the computer to be in the same network as the ADSL router. (Default IP address of the ADSL router is 192.168.1.1) To do this in Windows XP operating system,

    Right click on My Network Places and select Properties. Right click on Local Area Connection and select Properties Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) under General tab and click on Properties.

    Configuration of ZTE ZXDSL 831 II Open a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer). Type http://192.168.1.1 (Default IP address of ADSL router) on the address space. Enter Username admin and password admin. After entering username and password, Web page will be loaded.

    Wait until ZXDSL 831 II reboots. To set the DNS server address click on DNS server option and set the DNS addresses as above.

    Configuration of Internet Browser (Internet Explorer) Tools > Internet Options, Internet Options window will appear. Select Connections Tab Click on LAN Settings Tick on Automatically detect settings Disable all the other options and click OK.

    v Now your ZXDSL 831 II router is ready for internet surfing. v If still you have any difficulty call 1243 and SLT ADSL helpdesk will assist you to complete the installation process. v Visit SLTnet Broadband in www.sltnet.lk for more information.
