Psalter MPSyr GR Engverses Glossary Sept 2012
- version for the Fourth Summer school on Pahlavi Papyrology; visit to the Berlin Brandenburg Academy
of Sciences and Humanities, Turfanforschung on the 27th of September 2012.
Corrections and comments are welcome, please send them to [email protected]
Following the Pahlavi in transcription is the Syriac and Greek text and the King James' English translation
(i.e. not a translation of the Middle Persian text). Note the different numbering of the Psalms in Greek
(Septuaginta) for the first texts and of the King James' version for the latter texts.
The Syriac text contains some reference to variants in the VTS = vetus Textus Syrus. The Syriac text
including the canons is taken from Andreas-Barr's interlinear versions.
The Greek text is taken from http://titus.uni-frankfurt.de/texte/etcs/grie/sept/sept.htm
The King James' version is from http://quod.lib.umich.edu/k/kjv/
