    I cannot express enough how grateful we are for making our campus a part of the Sharefest Workday. Your time, leadership, passion, and professionalism toward beautifying our campus has provided a wonderful opportunity for Carson High youth to understand the importance and value of youth, family, and community relationships. Windy W. Warren, Ph.D. Principal, Carson High School The re-landscaped Sensory garden with the beautiful bench and de-composted granite walkways make the garden perfect for our special needs students to sit, read, and enjoy nature. The attractive Dodson Dolphin mural can be seen from many places on campus and is creating new pride in our school. John Vladovic Principal, Dodson Middle School What a di erence the Sharefest Workday has made to our School! Just this past Saturday, we invited all the Gardena Family of Schools for a celebration of unity and we received many compliments from parents about the landscape. Our students and sta have reason to be proud of their school.     10th Annual Workday


    Once a year, volunteers from throughout south western Los Angeles County give up a Saturday to make their communities better. These residents take ownership and responsibility for their schools, parks and neighborhoods and freely donate their time and e orts to heal and improve the areas around them. To date, Sharefest has helped build healthy neighborhoods by completing 1,680 work projects worth over $7,500,000 at no cost to the recipients and has fostered new relationships to create cohesive, caring communities. Join us for the 10th Annual Workday on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Be one of the thousands of volunteers being mobilized into our community to complete work projects that will change the quality of life for everyone. Your life will be changed as a result of giving your time and talents serving others. Youll have an amazing experience as cultures, skills, personalities and people of all ages come together to create an imprint of lasting positive change.
