History of Toyota Kiichiro Toyoda, founder of Toyota Motor Co.,Ltd., is an innovator who started research on small gasoline powered engine in 1930. In 1955, Toyota produced its first fully fledged national passenger car, the Crown and a small four -wheel truck, the Toyoace.
