Hearts Full of LOVE

Preparation: Print and cut out hearts for the lesson. Put in a bowl, bag or hat.
Opening Song: Jesus Said Love Everyone Children’s Songbook pg 61
Scripture: 1 John 3:23
Lesson: Today’s lesson is simple. You will take turns picking a heart and following
the directions on it. You can either do everything as a family or have just the person
that chose the heart complete the action. When a scripture is read discuss what it
means so everyone understands.

End by reading the following quotes:

"Sometimes the greatest love is not found in the dramatic scenes that poets and
writers immortalize. Often, the greatest manifestations of love are the simple acts of
kindness and caring we extend to those we meet along the path of life.

"True love lasts forever. It is eternally patient and forgiving. It believes, hopes, and
endures all things. That is the love our Heavenly Father bears for us."

Joseph B Wirthlin, "The Great Commandment," Ensign, Nov. 2007, 29

"The eternal truth that our Heavenly Father loves all his children is an immensely
powerful idea. It is especially powerful when children can visualize it through the love
and sacrifice of their earthly parents. Love is the most powerful force in the world."

Dallin H. Oaks, "Powerful Ideas," Ensign, Nov. 1995, 25

Closing Song: My Heavenly Father Loves Me Children’s Songbook pg 228

There is a typo on the last heart on page 1 it should read “Tell how you
show love to Heavenly Father.”
