There is an increasing recognition of the power of constructive thought. This power can be employed on a worldwide scale for spiritual purposes if each one tries to understand the spiritual need of the world.
The Great Invocation is a world prayer translated into over seventy-five languages and dialects, and is used by all members of Triangles. It expresses certain central truths: That there exists a basic Intelligence to Whom we give the name of God. That there is a divine evolutionary Plan in the universe the motivating power of which is love. That a great Individuality called by Christians the Christ the World Teacher came to Earth and embodied that love so that we could understand that love and intelligence are effects of the Purpose, and the Will, and the Plan of God. Many religions believe in a World Teacher, knowing Him under such names as The Lord Maitreya, the Imam Mahdi, and the Messiah. The truth that only through humanity itself can the divine Plan work out.
The work of Triangles is simple, yet of deep spiritual significance. In order to clarify and reveal its essential simplicity, the following points are useful. 1. What is Triangles? Triangles is an activity whereby a network of light and goodwill covering the entire planet is created and maintained. 2. Why a network? A network provides the necessary interlocking strands or channels along which flow the spiritual energies of light and goodwill invoked by all Triangles workers. 3. Why a triangle? The triangle is a basic geometric figure, spiritually symbolic of the essential Trinity of the Godhead. Three people can work as a group and provide three linked focal points through which spiritual energy can circulate. 4. What does the network consist of? The network is built of strands of lighted mental substance along which flows the energy of goodwill. 5. How is it built? The network is built and maintained by the daily action of each Triangles worker invoking spiritual energies and using the creative power of the mind. 6. How is the work done? Individuals link in thought and purpose with the other two members of their triangle, or triangles, seeing the vital energies of light and goodwill circulating from point to point. They then direct the flow of energy into the network, clearly visualising the radiant worldwide network of triangles, of which their own is a part. They then repeat the words of the Great Invocation with concentration and intention. 7. Why use the Invocation? The use of the Great Invocation focuses and releases the spiritual
energies available for the vitalising of the whole network. 8. What is the motive for joining Triangles? The motive is not personal benefit but world service. 9. How does the network increase (a) in quantity, (b) in quality? (a). It is the responsibility of each Triangles worker to interest other men and women of goodwill and form new triangles for the strengthening and expansion of the network. (b). The magnetic and radiant potency of the Triangles network depends upon the spiritual contribution of each individual triangle to the whole, which in turn depends upon the daily action of each Triangles worker. 10. How is each triangle maintained? Triangles workers keep in touch with each other by letter and personal contact, where possible, to ensure that their triangle is maintained as a functioning unit within the network. 11. Who is eligible for membership? All intelligent men and women of goodwill everywhere in the world without distinction of race, religion, creed, caste or colour, are needed for service within the Triangles network. 12. Is Triangles a religious movement? Triangles is not connected with, or confined to, any one of the great world religions. It is a universal spiritual project which, in practice, includes men and women of all faiths.
The Triangles work, therefore, is an act of service to humanity. Triangles workers take up the activity in a spirit of co-operation and selfless service, and in order to stimulate and increase the flow of light and goodwill all over the world.
A triangle is a group of three people who link each day in thought for a few minutes of creative meditation. They need not necessarily live in the same locality, and many international triangles exist.
Each day members sit quietly for a few minutes and link mentally with other members of their triangle, or triangles. They invoke the energies of light and goodwill, visualising these energies as circulating through the three focal points of each triangle, and pouring out through the network of triangles surrounding the planet. At the same time they repeat the Great Invocation, thus helping to form a channel for the downpouring of light and love into the consciousness of humanity.
The work takes only a few minutes to perform and can be fitted into the most crowded programme. It is not necessary for members to synchronise the time at which the work is done, as once a triangle is built and functioning, it can be vitalised by any one of its members.
All men and women of goodwill who are willing to do the work outlined above and accept the world service objectives of Triangles are invited to participate. There are no other requirements or membership subscription. The financial needs of the work are provided solely and entirely by gifts of members and friends.

OBJECTIVES
PROGRAMME
The world has a spiritual destiny. Behind evolution there is an abiding purpose, which we can call the Plan of God. All who respond to spiritual need can, in their own way and within their own environment, co-operate in fulfilling the divine Plan. The Plan works out through humanity. We are responsible for understanding it, and for doing what we can through our daily living to express its meaning and significance. Triangles aids the divine Plan by working for the following objectives:
Triangles achieves its objectives by linking men and women of goodwill in a spiritual world service that transcends all barriers of race, creed, class, economic and political conviction. Triangles creates a worldwide network of light and goodwill for the distribution of spiritual energies and provides a means of practical co-operation and intercommunication among men and women of goodwill. To this end, Triangles:
Encourages men and women of goodwill to form triangles and assists them by explaining the work and by the provision of literature. Publishes a bulletin this bulletin is an educational service activity of Triangles, and is sent to all members and other interested men and women of goodwill. Issues other literature of spiritual and educational value. Stimulates the formation of units of service in which men and women of goodwill can join together in practical world service. Helps to organise an annual world day of invocation.
To establish right human relations and to spread goodwill and understanding (light) amongst all peoples.
Triangles is a service activity for men and women of goodwill who believe in the power of thought. Working in groups of three, they establish right human relationships by creating a worldwide network of light and goodwill.
To raise the level of human consciousness and to transform the mental and spiritual climate of the planet. To strengthen and support the work of the men and women of goodwill in the world. To provide a reservoir of thought and to inspire practical and constructive action on behalf of humanity.
Triangles literature is available in Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. THE GREAT INVOCATION From the point of Light within the Mind of God Let light stream forth into the minds of men. Let Light descend on Earth. From the point of Love within the Heart of God Let love stream forth into the hearts of men. May Christ return to Earth. From the centre where the Will of God is known Let purpose guide the little wills of men The purpose which the Masters know and serve. From the centre which we call the race of men Let the Plan of Love and Light work out And may it seal the door where evil dwells. Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
It must ever be borne in mind that the great theme of light underlies our entire planetary purpose.
The evolution and development of humanity can be described in terms of illumination and knowledge, in terms of sight and the entrance of light, thus leading to revelation. Through the agency of light, human vision expands and divine purpose is brought into the area of human thought and planning. Without the energy of light little progress would be made, and yet we take its wonder and mystery for granted.
Each Triangle unit can be a powerful focal point of light-energy within the network of light and goodwill. The light flowing throughout the network acts as a many-powered beam which follows the main stream of human thought with intensity and precision, bringing new insights, new understanding and a new revelation to open minds and hearts.
This outpouring of light has brought us a measure of knowledge and of understanding of ourselves and of the world around us that would have been quite literally unthinkable a few generations ago. A tremendous expansion of thought is occurring in all areas of human life. New light is being cast upon humanitys situation, a light that is revealing a world of inter-relatedness. Increasingly people are seeing the world as a whole. This brings them into touch with a deeper level of reality. For many this involves a direct experience of the essential oneness of life.
The beauty and strength of this Invocation lies in its simplicity, and in its expression of certain truths which all people innately and normally accept. Many religions believe in a World Teacher, knowing Him under such names as The Lord Maitreya, Krishna, Imam Mahdi and the Messiah and these terms are used in some Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and Jewish versions of the Great Invocation.
Mystics and philosophers have always asserted that light is the symbol of God in manifestation. Modern science supports the view that the very substance of the cosmos, from which the universe has been made, is a form of light energy. Psychologists teach us how to illumine the dark places of the mind, enabling us to open our minds to the inclusive light centred in the Soul. Modern educators are striving to bring to birth an age of universal enlightenment. Through the dedicated thought of Triangles workers, the light of the Soul is being released into a needy world.
Two great spiritual teachers stand out above all others in the recorded history of humanity. One, the Buddha, is universally regarded as the embodiment of Light. The precepts and teachings of the Buddha enable us to come to terms with our minds, to find the way between the pairs of opposites through the practice of detachment and dispassion, and eventually to achieve illumination and wisdom.
The other great teacher, the Christ, is the embodiment of Love. He brought us a new commandment, that we should love one another, transcending in one profoundly important injunction all systems of life and ethics based on the negative Thou shalt not ....
David Bohm
When we come to light, we are coming to the fundamental activity in which existence has its ground ... Light is the potential of everything.
The development and relating of mind and heart is said to be the subjective purpose of manifestation. The Buddha and the Christ have demonstrated the epitome of human achievement along each line. In the proper understanding and relationship of their teachings comes the opportunity to resolve all human problems, to bridge the age old cleavage between East and West, and to come to understand the paradox of life. Life is paradoxical. There is a saying in the East that The mind is the slayer of the real. We have come to understand something of the truth of this by observing how narrow intellectualism and so called logic can divest life of any real meaning. It is only when the mind is under the influence of love that it can be truly enlightened and become the medium of revelation. In a similar manner love is blind without the balancing power of mind and the light which gives wisdom and understanding. It is the special destiny of humanity to become the planetary lightbearer. Mind is the feature which distinguishes humanity from other evolutions. It is intelligence that has lifted the human being above the animal kingdom and which is fundamentally responsible for the dominant position that humanity now holds in the mental, emotional and physical worlds. Undue emphasis placed on the rational and concrete aspect of mind can cause it to become the slayer of the real. This process constitutes a dangerous element in the present world situation. The abstract mind and the soul the middle principle of consciousness itself must also function and the light of wisdom and the light of understanding blend with the light of knowledge which is the gift of the concrete mind. These three aspects of light wisdom, understanding and knowledge carry three aspects of soul energy to the soul in all forms, through the medium of the world soul. Humanity has never had greater need of Light-bearers than it does today. We are entering a time of unique opportunity for the whole of humanity. World problems are being brought to light, challenging us to seek solutions through inclusive and universal thought.

Light and the other radiations are signals that spread out from an event like ripples through the universe ... The light of the radio wave or the X-ray is the ultimate carrier of news or messages, and forms a basic network of information which links the material universe together.
Jacob Bronowski
Thus at whatever competent source we may inquire, we will always receive the same answer; namely, that this divine light of the Logos is the foundation of all existence ... It is the most manifested thing upon earth, and nevertheless the greatest of all mysteries. It is the Shekinah of the Jews, the Sophia of the Gnostics, the Daiviprakriti of the Brahmins, the Fohat of the Buddhists, the Mother of Christ of the Christians, the Isis of the Egyptians, the spiritual sunlight of the Parsees, and the only possible reasonable object of worship for anyone aspiring towards eternal life.
Franz Hartmann

Meditation, Polarisation in the soul or egoic consciousness, Contemplation, or the turning of the soul-light upon that which is to be known or investigated, The subsequent pouring down of the knowledge ascertained in a stream of illumination into the brain. This thread passes through the mind and illumines it. The thoughts engendered in the automatic response of mental substance to the knowledge conveyed are then impressed upon the brain and the individual, in physical brain consciousness, becomes aware of what the Soul knows. He or she becomes illumined.
(a). Cultivate the light of wisdom, which is the light which relates us to Gods will and purpose, and which enables all things to be seen in proportion. (b). Unfold the light of understanding, the light which links us to the heart and love of God and to the compassion of the universe. (c). Develop the light of knowledge which relates us to the mind of God and which gives us control in the three worlds of human evolution.
As these three aspects of light unfold within us we can begin to radiate light, via the world soul, to the soul of all things. In so doing we serve.
As this process becomes more frequent and steady, the individual becomes increasingly synchronised with the soul. The time element recedes and the illumination of the field of knowledge by the light of the soul and the illumining of the physical brain, becomes instantaneous. 2. Lucidity of consciousness. The individual becomes lucid, clear sighted and conscious of a growing power within that enables the person to explain and solve all problems, and not only this, but lucidly to speak and thus become one of the teaching forces of the world. All knowledge, consciously acquired by selfillumination must be shared, and clearly imparted to others. It is the corollary of illumination. 3. The shining forth of insight. This is the capacity to see into a form, to arrive at that subjective reality which has made the objective sheath what it is. It is the capacity to pierce through all forms and arrive at that which they veil, because that reality is identical with the reality in yourself. 4. The illumining of the intellect. Unless the mind can reflect that which the soul knows, the mysteries remain unexplained to the physical brain and the knowledge possessed by the soul remains just a beautiful and unattainable vision. But once the intellect is illumined, it can transmit to and impress upon the brain those hidden things which only the sons of God on their own plane know. THE NATURE OF LIGHT Light is radiant energy which, by its action upon the organs of vision, enables them to perform their function of sight more accurately called luminous energy.
Websters dictionary
The whole world stops and listens when someone comes along with the right new vision at the proper time.
Robert Muller
Light is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Light and substance are synonymous terms, Soul and Light are equally so, and in this equality of idea light, substance, soul you have the key to fusion and to the atonement which Christ expressed so fully for us in His life on earth.
The soul is light essentially, both literally from the vibratory angle, and philosophically from the angle of constituting the true medium of knowledge. The soul is light symbolically, for it is like the rays of the sun, which pours out into the darkness; the soul, through the medium of the brain, causes revelation. It throws light into the brain, and thus the way of the human being becomes increasingly illumined. The brain is like the eye of the Soul, looking out into the physical world ....
The heart of the world is light and in that light shall we see God. In that light we find ourselves. In that light all things are revealed.
When a man literally walks in the light of his soul and the clear light of the sun pours through him revealing the path it reveals at the same time the Plan.
10
Simultaneously, however, he becomes aware of the fact that the Plan is very far as yet from consummation. The dark becomes more truly apparent; the chaos and misery and failure of the world groups stand revealed; the filth and the dust of the warring forces are noted, and the whole sorrow of the world bears down upon the astounded, yet illuminated aspirant. Can he stand this pressure? Can he become indeed acquainted with grief and yet rejoice forever in the divine consciousness? Has he the ability to face what the light reveals, and still go his way with serenity, sure of the ultimate triumph of good? Will he be overwhelmed by the surface evil and forget the heart of love which beats behind all outer seeming? This situation should ever be remembered by the disciple, or he will be shattered by what he has discovered. THE SHAFT OF LIGHT The thought of more light governs all the inchoate yearnings of the human spirit. It was this realisation that prompted Dag Hammarskjolds brilliantly conceived epitome of such yearnings in the symbol he set before the people of all nations in the Meditation Room in the United Nations in New York. ... there are simple things which speak to us all with the same language. We have sought such things and we believe that we have found them in the shaft of light striking the shining surface of solid rock. So in the middle of the room we see a symbol of how, daily, the light of the skies gives life to the earth on which we stand, a symbol to many of us of how the light of the spirit gives life to matter. ... the shaft of light strikes the stone in a room of utter simplicity. There are no other symbols, there is nothing to distract our attention or to break in on the stillness within ourselves.... We want to bring back the stillness which we have lost in our streets and in our conference rooms, and to bring it back in a setting in which no noise would impinge upon our imagination. In that setting we want to bring back our thoughts to elementary facts, the facts we are always facing, life struck by light while resting on the ground.
Dag Hammarskjold 4
Similarly, the network as a whole distributes and amplifies light from the mind of God into human minds across the world.
Light is manifestation. God is not Light, unless He chooses to manifest Himself as Light, because in reality God is no-thing. But if God touches substance with His finger, Light appears. Christ is light because He is the manifestation of God human being and God in perfect balance. By following the Way we too become, in time, Light-bearers and can bring Light to those in this century who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death.
To the mind it brings clarity and therefore the ability to discriminate wisely and make choices which are of positive value to world progress.
To the heart it brings awareness. In the Light we see the needs of humanity. The heart is engaged because the Light gives it understanding. Its positive result is Love.
To the will it brings courage, endurance and persistence because it registers as bliss and heartens the traveller on the Way. Its positive result is determination.
At this transitional period in the history of humanity the transfiguring quality of Light is what the world cries out for. Only the positive effect of Light can transform the situation. The call goes forth for more Light-bearers to bring enlightened thought and vision to bear upon the human condition today and to thereby join the Forces of Light through their willingness to undertake the discipline of treading the Path of Light. ILLUMINATION
The nature of the soul is light, and light is the great revealer. Through steady practise in meditation an individual can learn to turn the light that emanates from his or her very being in any direction and illumine any subject. This power can be described as:
1. Illumination of perception. The light of the soul pours forth and the person on the physical plane in physical brain consciousness is enabled to perceive that which was previously dark and hidden. It is a process of:
In the field of data storage, it is theoretically possible to store the Library of Congress in the USA on material the size of a sugar cube. The marrying of computer graphics to holographic techniques will revolutionise design in such fields as engineering and architecture. 3. The third advance is more properly a rediscovery and an expansion of interest in the powers and functioning of the mind itself. The parallels between the laser, the hologram and the human mind are extraordinarily close. Exponents of meditation have often likened the mind to a lens and mental substance to a form of light-energy. Used in this way, the mind can not only reveal the field of knowledge, but also let in the light of the soul, and communicate with other minds, as in telepathy. Added to this is the possibility that through the soul, contact can be established with all souls and with the Oversoul. Thus the part has a direct line of contact with the whole and with all the parts of that whole. Herein lies the basis for a higher form of telepathy than that of mind to mind. Within this area of psychological investigation are those events which some psychologists term peak experiences: moments of heightened sensitivity and awareness in which the individual experiences an expanded consciousness and a sense of transcendent wholeness. It seems that in such moments a deeper level of understanding can be achieved, as if light has penetrated into transcendent realms, and that which it reveals is conveyed to normal brain consciousness. These moments can bring transformation and the emergence of a completely new perspective on life. The interaction between mind and matter continues to be an area of scientific research and a growing number of scientists from various fields are reaching the conclusion that the nature of reality seems less like the workings of a vast machine but more in the nature of a universal mind. This view, though perhaps new to science, is not new to the wisdom of the East. Many parallels have been drawn between the new physics and teachings from Eastern religions and spiritual traditions. The essential unity and inter-relationship that science is bringing to light is a fundamental characteristic of the Eastern world view. This view is one that is not unfamiliar to Triangles workers all over the world. There are clear implications for Triangles workers. Successful mental work requires the modification and manipulation of mental substance analogous to that achieved by the laser on the physical plane. By the right use of the mind, by clear visualisation and the projection of the light of the mind, enlightened thought can be stimulated and circulated through the network and into human consciousness.
8
One of Dag Hammarskjolds closest friends wrote the following about this room:
There was nothing in that room chosen to represent a religion, yet it seemed to have the power to convey to [people] of all religions or of none the attitude that has to precede human understanding of any quality a sense of humility and of quietude. For many of us, the rock and the light express something of the range within which the human spirit could unfold into infinity or be locked into solidness like stone.
From the point of Light within the Mind of God Let light stream forth into the minds of men. Let Light descend on Earth.
Until we can think for ourselves we cannot be intelligent, willing and understanding co-operators with the forces of evolution. Unless we are imbued with the spirit of goodwill to the whole we will be unable to respond to the will-togood, which is the motive force and driving power of the divine Plan.
So far as humanity is concerned today, light and goodwill are the two most important means of resolving world problems and establishing the new age civilisation and culture. It is in the world of light that the choices facing humanity can be clearly seen. Light reveals the dark and the undesirable. Light also reveals the goal which can be attained when men and women have the selflessness and love of humanity to follow that light wherever it may lead. Light and goodwill are needed equally, and both energies are tools with which all Triangles members work. But light is always the first energy or quality of divinity to manifest, preparing the way for the expression of the other two aspects of the trinity: love and will or purpose.
Religion and philosophy have always stressed the importance of light. Now modern science gives light an increasingly important place. Physicists, for example, hold that all types of radiation energy, of which visible light is one, are basically similar, differing only in wavelength or the energy of the photons (particles) of light. Likewise radiation and matter are convertible, one into the 2 other, the conversion formula being Einsteins famous E=mc , in which the constant c is the speed of light.
In its efforts to understand the nature of light, science has revealed an essential inter-connectedness at a fundamental level. Physicists have found it necessary to
think in terms of energy fields as comprising the structure that underlies the material world. This is a perspective that is familiar to the Triangles worker who seeks, through meditation and invocation, to direct the energies of light and goodwill into the planetary energy field, the etheric web. Scientific investigation into the sub-atomic world has also revealed that we each create our own reality, that we are, in some way, participators in a continuum of creative activity. It could be said that we create the world in relation to the light that we direct towards it. For the Triangles worker seeking to create patterns of lighted thought and relationship, this discovery by science serves to reinforce the belief that energy follows and conforms itself to thought, a fundamental precept of the Triangles work. At the biological level light is a vital factor. Photosynthesis, the most important chemical process on earth, depends on light energy. Light also plays a role in chemical analysis. Visible light is just one part of the electromagnetic spectrum and all substance radiates energy. By analysing its spectrum the chemical content of a substance can be discovered. This process has been used to ascertain the chemical constitution of distant stars and planets. Three Advances in our Understanding of Light If universal substance is a form of light energy, then our ability to manipulate and modify this energy will have profound implications. Among the many advances towards a new science of light, there are three in particular which give promise of revolutionary developments: 1. The first is the laser the name stands for Light Amplified by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Whereas ordinary light is diffused and incoherent, laser light is coherent, almost entirely of one wavelength and with the waves travelling in a single direction. Because the waves of light emitted by a laser move in unison they reinforce each other, giving the laser its power. The laser has many unique properties and we are only beginning to explore its possible uses. A single laser beam has the inherent capability of carrying vast amounts of information and this has opened up tremendous possibilities in the field of communication. Fibre-optics allow information to be flashed around the world in a split second. The light acts as a carrier signal, an interesting correspondence to the way that light can be the carrier of goodwill energy. The creation of such a network of light as the medium for the exchange of information upon the planet can be seen as an outer symbol of the inner network of light that is being created and sustained by Triangles workers.
6
In medicine, fibre-optic endoscopes enable physicians to see deep inside the body of the patient without the need to resort to surgery as a method of investigation. Laser light that is concentrated to a fine point has become as a scalpel in the surgeons hand. Laser light has been used in this way to remove tumours from the retina of the human eye, and also to weld breaks in the retina itself. This exciting use of light has opened up the whole field of microsurgery and brought possibilities that would have been unthinkable a few decades ago.
2. The second advance has come through a development of laser technology and it relates to the hologram. The word hologram comes from the Greek words holo meaning whole and gram meaning to write. Hence the hologram can be defined as that which writes the whole.
A hologram is created through the following process: A laser beam is passed through a half-silvered mirror. Half of the light passes directly to a photographic plate. The other half is reflected onto an object or structure of some kind, and this light is then reflected onto the same photographic plate. Where the two beams meet an interference pattern is created, and this pattern is recorded on the plate, a pattern which is so fine that it is not visible to the naked eye. If the plate is then illumined by laser light, a three-dimensional image of the object photographed is seen in space. This image can be viewed from a variety of points. Even more remarkable is the fact that if only one small portion of the plate is illumined, the whole image is still created. However, it appears more hazy and indistinct and can only be seen from a limited number of viewpoints.
For centuries human thought has been rather like one of these fragments, containing the potential for revealing the whole and yet remaining limited in its perspective. In todays world we see minds coming together to focus upon world problems, different disciplines sharing their insight. Minds are increasingly becoming attuned to the light of the Soul, to a more coherent light which is bringing a holistic perspective to birth in minds all over the world. We are witnessing an expansion of inclusive and universal thought, carrying inspiration to people working in all fields of service and human concern.
Holography has been put to a number of important uses. For instance, inaccessible parts of industrial plant can be photographed using the holographic technique. Because the holograph is three-dimensional, cracks or flaws that may be hidden from view in a two-dimensional photograph can then be seen.
In the future it is anticipated that X-ray holography will, using holographic techniques, enable physicians to record a three-dimensional view of human cells.

In the modern world we constantly meet the concept of energy. Yet few ever stop to consider what is meant by this term. The word comes from the Greek energos which means active. Energy, then, is the capacity for vital activity, and since early times this energy concept has been applied to an increasingly wide area of human understanding and endeavour. For a long time the concept was used only with relation to physical happenings and events, but now it has also entered such fields as psychology, economics and sociology. From the concept of energy as a generally distributed living force, a direct line of development leads into every department of human living.
The concept of energy has been more fully developed and widely used in science than in any other field. The idea that all is energy, in varying states and relationships, has led to a synthesis in scientific thought and to a new understanding of the forces of the universe. This was not always so. In the 19th century energy was largely regarded as the result of the motion of bodies or material particles (actual or kinetic energy), or as the result of the position of a piece of matter with relation to other pieces of matter (potential energy). This was expressed in two great laws the Law of Conservation of Mass, which stated in brief that mass (the quantity of matter in a body) was indestructible, and the Law of Conservation of Energy, which basically stated that the sum total of energy in the universe was constant.
The concept of mass or matter, and of energy, were thought of as independent, and of the two the concept of matter was regarded as the more basic and fundamental to an understanding of the universe.

But in 1905 Einstein showed with his special theory of relativity that mass itself is a form of energy, that mass and energy are in fact interchangeable, and that they are related by the formula E = mc2 where E = energy, m = mass, and c = the velocity of light. This meant that the Law of Conservation of Mass was no longer of prime importance and the concept of energy then assumed its rightful place.
Einsteins special theory of relativity made it possible to prove scientifically that all is energy. This discovery sounded the death knell for materialistic concepts and explanations of the universe. For there is nothing in the manifested universe
solar, planetary, or the various kingdoms in nature which does not possess an energy form, subtle and intangible, yet substantial. Energy is now regarded as all that IS; our world is the manifestation of a sea of energies, some of which are built into forms, others constitute the medium in which those forms live and move and have their being. All forms are composed of living energies, vibrating in relation to each other, yet having their own quality and qualified life. At the same time we can see that forms also exist within other forms. The room in which we sit exists within a house which is one of a group of houses within a larger community of houses. Each successive form is part of a larger whole. We live in an ocean of energies, although we are not always consciously aware of this fact. We ourselves are composed of energies; and all these energies are closely interrelated and constitute the one synthetic energy body of our planet. To this energy body we give the name etheric. The etheric or energy body of every human being is an integral part of the etheric body of the planet itself and consequently of the solar system. Through this medium, every human being is basically related to every other expression of the divine life, minute or great. In fact the energy body of every form in nature is an integral part of the substantial form of the one universal life of God Himself. The etheric body is in reality naught but energy. Its function is to receive and transmit energy impulses of varying kinds and grades, and to be swept into activity by these impulses or streams of force. It provides, in fact, the necessary basis for the various types and levels of telepathic interplay and for all forms of subjective work and relationship between both individuals and groups. The etheric body also provides the link between mental and emotional impulses and the world of outer physical form. Through the network of the etheric body energies are constantly circulating, conditioning and determining the outer expression, the activities and qualities of every form of life. This is true for the individual human being, for groups, for humanity as a whole, for the planet and beyond.
(a). the formation of group units bound together by common thought and shared spiritual values. (This has been proceeding since the 15th century). (b). the production of a humanity characterised by three things: i. A system of inter-communication and interrelation on all levels radio, telephone, television, computer networks, telepathy, travel. ii. A sense of responsibility for each other the realisation of goodwill. iii. Recognition of omnipresence the One Life.
There are other aspects of the Plan, and other important objectives, but no aspect of the Plan can be established within humanity except through the creative use of the mind. We are only now beginning to understand the power of thought and the energy which the thinker can apply. Through creative thought, through spiritual perception and correct interpretation, humanity can help to establish the kingdom of God on Earth.
The service of Triangles is aiding the development of right human relations throughout the world. A knowledge and understanding of the relationship between energy and thought is of definite value in this work. The work of Triangles is to direct energy by the power of thought. In Triangles the focused power of thought is used to invoke and direct into humanity the energies of light and goodwill energies desperately needed in our world today. It is a scientific work, but fundamentally simple. Invocation, prayer or aspiration, meditation it does not matter which word is used these are the methods by which spiritual energies are tapped and brought into activity.
The steady impact of right thought, thought qualified by the energy of goodwill, is having a definitely stimulating and healing effect upon the consciousness of humanity. In addition, a vast reservoir or pool of goodwill energy is being created and drawn upon by workers for humanity all over the planet.
Any individual can form a triangle by joining with two others who believe in the power of creative thought. This triangle, when linked in with the world-wide network of Light and Goodwill, can make a real contribution to the global effort to develop right relations throughout humanity and be a living example of the principle that Energy Follows Thought.
working in group form, each thought being sent on a definite mission to add its quota of energy to some one stream which is specific and known. This last is of importance for, to be of real assistance, thought energy must be definitely directed towards some particular type of service. All activity of every kind is the result of: (a). thoughtforms built consciously or unconsciously; (b). self-initiated thoughtforms or of the effects of the thoughtforms of others; (c). responsiveness to ones own inner impulses, or of responsiveness to the impulses of others, and therefore to group thoughtforms. It will be apparent, therefore, how vital this matter is, and how influenced men and women are by the thoughtforms they themselves create, or by the mental creations of others. If the creative work we undertake is to be successful, we will need to recognise the basic trends and tendencies of our own minds and thoughts; the body of group thought with which our work is associated; and the purpose with which we work. The purpose will need to be held steadily in mind throughout the creative process.
thought which hold the seeds of the future world culture and civilisation, and which come from the Universal Mind, are now numerous and form a world group.
It has been said that what is going on in the world today is the working out of ideas, and this can now be clearly seen. Those who have some conception of the power of thought, of the effect of streams of mental energy flowing from a mind, face a situation of great opportunity and responsibility. Thoughts are energy, and energy follows thought. This is the basis for all creative work upon the mental plane. If one person thinking truth can transform the mental climate in his or her environment, so may selfish, uncontrolled or destructive thinking poison the mental atmosphere. Our thoughts are far more potent than we normally realise, hence the need for a creative and constructive use of this power.
The universe is an expression of the plan and purpose of God. It is not a fortuitous concurrence of atoms, but is the working out of a great design or pattern.
When we are aware of the need to circulate positive and constructive forms of energy we have the opportunity to become conscious co-operators with the divine Plan. For as we begin to recognise more vividly the reality of the world of thought, so we are able to work at the task of consciously registering and responding to those fundamental ideas and principles that are seeking expression in the world and which form the blueprint of the Plan at this time. We may then recognise that there are those who can be called the Custodians of the Plan the spiritual Hierarchy whose task it is to prepare the blueprint of the Plan for humanity to use and work out. By participating in this work we are associating ourselves with the universal creative process, shared by the spiritual Hierarchy and all thinkers who are inspired by motives of love and service.
Anyone can co-operate with this work of thinking the Plan through into expression. The ultimate objectives of the Plan are that light should illumine human minds, that love should govern all relationships, and that the will of God should direct human affairs. All who truly seek to love and serve humanity are cooperating with the Plan. To those who know the power of thought and who can begin to work with thought energy upon the mental plane, an additional and creative role is possible.
For most people the wise and skilful use of thought energy in service is not an automatic process. It calls for effort and discipline and for an understanding of the
principles on which the creative use of the mind can be based. The following statements indicate some of the fundamentals of this science of the mind: 1. Thought is creative as it builds by the formulation, development and clarification of ideas. It is communicative as the mind projects the thoughtform to its destination. 2. Creative thought building requires a calm and stable emotional consciousness, a mind that can maintain focus and concentration on an idea or theme without interruption, and physical conditions that permit both to be achieved. 3. Purity of motive is needed for this work. This is not a counsel of perfection; but the purpose for doing the work must be one of impersonal, selfless service for the benefit and upliftment of the whole human family. 4. The mind must be united with the heart in creative spiritual service. The Christ said, As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he, and if the thinker works without a heart open to the flow of love, the thought will lack the magnetism needed for it to achieve its objective. 5. There are many ways of thinking through a subject in order to clarify and develop it. But effort should be made to penetrate behind outer appearances to search for meaning, for significances, for relationships with other ideas or streams of thought, to look for causes and not at effects. To attempt to do this will lead the thinker to reflect on that which is not of the nature of the form, and this can lead to contemplation, which is the source of inspiration and illumination. 6. The thinker should at some stage lift his or her consciousness to the soul the Christ consciousness in each one of us and, reflecting in the light of the soul, link in thought with the spiritual Hierarchy, the Custodians of the Plan. In this way the thinker will help to build the link between the mind of God and the human mind, and so help to precipitate the Plan into human consciousness. The thinker can also invoke the flow of light and love and the will-to-good into the hearts and minds of all humanity. 7. We should realise that we will in fact be part of a subjectively unified world group of thinkers in any creative service activity that is undertaken with the energy of thought, contributing to and drawing from a group pool of thought. By linking in consciousness with this group while working with thought energy, we add to the value of our own contributions and also to the contributions of others.
4
8. Thoughtforms should be built with as much care and accuracy as is used to build a house. Just as an architect must take into account design, materials, location, wiring, lighting, heating, plumbing and gear them all to a house that is beautiful, practical, economic and good to live in, so must creative workers in thought bear in mind the corresponding factors in their mental creations. Just as there are millions of poorly designed and badly built houses in the world, so there are millions of ill thought-out and relatively useless thoughtforms. In this process of thoughtform building, the main mental technique is visualisation.
The rules for creative use of thought energy are the same as those for meditation, but a wider connotation should be given to this term than hitherto. The scientist working in the laboratory to reveal the laws of nature is engaged in a form of meditation. Planning with care for the helping of the needy is meditation. The clarification of the concepts of philosophy and the formulation of philosophical principles is meditation. The application of the power of mind to the problems of government and international relations is meditation. In all these fields the same thought process will be applied. The themes will differ and so will the points of emphasis, but the process is identical. Wherever the motive of this work is the welfare of all, wherever it is carried through with selfless purpose and intent, that work may be regarded as responding to the impulses of the Plan.
Spiritual energy must make its impact upon human minds; in their combined effect these minds are the only available instrument through which the will of God can be expressed. The place of humanity in the cosmic Plan becomes more vital and apparent when it is realised that one of the main responsibilities is the direction of energy currents from the mental plane, and the creation of that which is desired according to Gods purpose for His creation. Humanity, as a whole, is undergoing evolutionary development in order to become responsible creators in matter. This involves a realisation of the archetypal Plan, a conscious process of willing creation, so that humanity co-operates with the ideal, works under law and produces that which is in line with the Plan.
Fully conscious creativity in line with the Plan also requires that we comprehend the nature of energy and are able to direct energy currents. As yet but few of the human family work deliberately and consciously in mental matter.
Thought energy which now emanates from each human being in a comparatively weak stream can be directed towards the creation of that which is desired by the group and not solely towards that which is desired by the individual. Fundamental to co-operation with this work in mental matter is the faculty of
Triangles:
How to do the Work
Triangles work is essentially simple. It need take no more than a few moments each day, and with practice can be done almost anywhere, and at any time. While workers must discover for themselves the methods of work which best suit them, there are certain basic principles which all can follow. The following notes outline a brief procedure which is especially intended to assist new members. 1. Place of work. It is always preferable to use a place where you can be quiet and uninterrupted for five minutes. Then, sitting relaxed but upright with eyes closed, put everyday thoughts and feelings to one side and focus on the task of serving humanity through Triangles. With practice this can be done almost instantaneously, rather as one would tune a radio to a particular wavelength, in this case tuning into the network. 2. Link mentally with each member of your triangle, or triangles, from the highest point of consciousness that you can achieve, seeing each triangle as a unit in the mind's eye. Visualisation is a great creative force. For some a mental picture is easily created. Others build by imagination, by repeating mentally the names of their fellow members, or by simply thinking about each triangle. Some people combine several methods. On the principle that energy follows thought, we can be confident that as we think about them, links are created and kept vitally alive by this daily work. 3. A radiant living network of triangles has been built around the planet as a result of the daily work of triangles members. Visualise the triangles in which you are working as an essential part of the worldwide triangles network. 4. Visualise light and goodwill flowing into each of the three points of your triangle(s), circulating around the triangles from point to point, and flowing out through the network into the hearts and minds of men and women everywhere. The soul or Christ principle can be found as a central point within each triangle, and many people visualise this central point as the source of light and goodwill used in this work. As light and goodwill are distributed, realise that they increase the brilliance of the whole network. The consequent radiation has an inevitable constructive and healing effect, lifting and transforming human consciousness and establishing right human relationships. 5. Sound the Great Invocation, silently or aloud, according to choice or circumstances. As you repeat each stanza, visualise the network acting as a link between the world of spiritual realities and humanity, and as a channel through which light and love and divine purpose flow into human consciousness. 6. Summary of procedure a). Link mentally with members of your triangle(s), b). Visualise your triangle(s) as part of the world wide network, c). Visualise light and goodwill flowing around the points of your triangle(s), through the network, and into human consciousness, d). Use the Great Invocation, perpetuating the flow of spiritual energy.
Some Additional Points 1. It is not necessary for members to synchronise the time at which they do the triangles work each day, and in fact when members live in different parts of the world, this is impossible. Once Triangles links are built in mental substance, they can be brought alive when any one member does the work. The true synchronisation is in the purpose and intention of those doing the work, not on the question of time. 2. Number of Triangles. Some people participate in several triangles, and this is to be welcomed. There is a practical limit, however, to the number of triangles in which any one person can work effectively. The question arises: How many triangles are you able to visualise and hold clearly in your mind at the same time? We suggest, therefore, that members either limit the number of triangles in which they work, so that each can be a vital functioning unit, or spend enough extra time in this world service to ensure that each triangle unit is firmly built and regularly vitalised. 3. If any member of your triangle(s) discontinues the work, please let us know at once. We hope that in such cases, someone may soon be found as a replacement.

Triangles:
How to Form a Triangle
The questions How does one start a triangle? and What is the best way to introduce people to the network of light and goodwill? are often asked. Many people have had the experience of a triangle forming itself, without apparent effort or planning, almost as if it existed before its members met or agreed to work together. But equally many others have struggled and searched for a long time without success. What can they do when faced with an apparent void of potential co-workers? Mental Preparation The need for the right mental preparation in such a situation is often forgotten. Successful Triangles work involves a certain likeness of mind. We have to be able to tune in to the Triangles wavelength. What better way of finding co-workers, therefore, than by first becoming a mental broadcasting unit, radiating the concept of Triangles and the need for co-workers into our mental environment, and enlarging our understanding by reading and reflection, so that our consciousness becomes impregnated and saturated with Triangles essence. How else indeed can one create the attractive magnetism that will evoke a response when the right person turns up. Link with the Network We can at the same time start making a daily mental link with the network of light and goodwill, using the Great Invocation, and acting as if the anticipated triangle already existed. Thus we visualise the two other lighted points in the confident expectation that at the right time the right people will emerge to fill them. The daily link with the network also serves to charge the field of our consciousness and mental environment with magnetic power, increasing the attractiveness of the Triangles thoughtform we are building. Right Action Right inner preparation has to be followed by right outer action. It is not difficult today to speak to people about prayer and meditation. Men and women of goodwill are eager to find ways of serving humanity. They know instinctively that humanity has need of light and goodwill, and they do not need to be convinced that the power of the mind can be used in constructive service. Yet too often we are reserved or hesitant. We have a secret inhibition that prevents us from talking as openly and whole-heartedly as we could. This communicates itself to others, and is one of the barriers to be overcome if we are to attract new members to the Triangles work. Another difficulty, frequently experienced, comes in the response: Why must I join a group? Is it not equally effective if I pray and use the Great Invocation on my own? It is a great achievement for humanity to realise the fact of its inner subjective unity, and that when people pray to God, no matter when or where, they are truly linking in with the ever present aspiration and invocation to divinity of the whole human family. Yet individual prayer is neither as effective nor as spiritually useful as group invocation. We should emphasise that this new age science of group invocation is a vital feature of the daily work of Triangles. The Network Finally we can point to two completely unique features of triangles. These are the fact of the triangle itself and the fact of the network. Without channels into the everyday world, the spirit is powerless to influence human affairs. The network formed by many thousands of interlinked triangles is first of all a worldwide group channel for the downpouring of spiritual energy into human consciousness. The network is also a communications system. All energy needs some carrier through which it can travel and bring its force to bear. The Triangles network ensures that the light and goodwill invoked by each individual triangle can circulate throughout the planet and therefore has a worldwide influence.
The Triangle Triangular patterns are universal and basic to nature. Science is categoric about this and religions teach the truth that a trinity is to be found at the heart of every living form Triangles is in fact a supremely simple spiritual service linking both the religious and the scientific approaches to life. Triangles can also be observed in ordinary human relations, for three is the smallest number that can form a group, and the triangular relationship is the basic unit and nucleus of all group work. In presenting Triangles, we can therefore point out that the network is rooted in a universal reality, and that everyone who works in triangles is identifying with one of the fundamental life patterns on the planet. We may not always succeed in kindling interest. But as we work at the task of expanding the network we are strengthening an open channel through which spiritual energies descend and building a more comprehensively universal system for the transmission and distribution of light and goodwill around the globe. Some further suggestions for forming and maintaining Triangles 1. Realise first of all that you cannot be successful unless you yourself are profoundly interested in serving in this way. 2. Realise next that many of your friends are truly and earnestly eager to help at this time of world crisis and that they do believe in divine guidance even if they have not discussed such a subject with you. 3. Then begin talking about the plan for the network of light and goodwill, without pinning people down to joining. Speak of the uniqueness of the idea (for it is unique), mentioning the fact that such triangles now exist all over the world, of their steady growth over many years, and of the simplicity of the work required just a few minutes of meditation each day, plus the living of a life of enlightened goodwill. Then leave the idea to germinate. 4. When you feel that real interest has been evoked, ask the people interested to join you in forming a triangle and then start using the procedure for work within the network of light and goodwill. 5. It is not necessary for the members of your triangle to live in the same place as yourself. It would be helpful, of course, if triangle members could meet occasionally for united work and discussion, but this is not essential. Members of Triangles must feel free to do the required work in their own time and manner. 6. Keep in touch with the members of your triangle. As the one who has formed a new triangle, it is your responsibility to keep interest alive in your two friends until they are firmly established in the rhythm of the work. Then continue to keep in touch and seek to strengthen and vitalise the work you are doing together within the network of Triangles. 7. Every member of your triangle should be encouraged to form other triangles and this is your definite responsibility. Try to bring this matter to their attention and provide what help and inspiration you can in their efforts. It is only in this way that the work can grow and spread as it should. 8. As a result of your subjective work within the network of light and goodwill, it should become increasingly easy for you and the members of your triangle to express outwardly, in your sphere of existence and throughout your environment, the practical value and effectiveness of the light, love and goodwill invoked through the daily work of Triangles. The personal example of a life lived in right relationship with others is inspiring.

Simplicity in Service
The Triangles work is simple. Three people agree to link in thought each day and use the Great Invocation. They visualise love and light radiating from the triangle they create. Imaginatively they see their triangle as part of the network of all such triangles encompassing the globe and ceaselessly pouring love and goodwill into the hearts and minds of the human family. How simple yet how potent and effective. This simplicity itself is a challenge, for there is no complicated procedure or organisation to promote the work. It spreads mostly through our own efforts. New triangles are formed and the network grows when triangle members tell others about the work and they choose to participate. The radiance of the network depends on us. As we increase our capacity to love, as we think with greater wisdom and clarity, the light and goodwill flowing through our triangle becomes more radiant and magnetic. Our tiny unit within the global network then glows brighter, illumines a wider area and the network as a whole is enriched. When our hearts are touched by the needs of the world, by the sorrows and the hopes of those who suffer, by the vision of what could be, we want to help more. We inspire the network as we bring this compassion, this fiery love into our Triangles work and, by so doing, affirm its direct and immediate usefulness in addressing the crises of our world. For these crises are essentially spiritual in nature, and right response depends first of all upon sufficient love and goodwill. This is the challenge: to see that the network glows ever more brightly and that its influence is more potently present in human consciousness. Our service in Triangles does not take much time but our experience of the livingness of the network shows us, in these few minutes each day, how precious this work is and how fortunate we are to participate in the world service it embodies.

Working to Heal Humanity
A growing number of people, from all walks of life, are familiar with the healing influence of Divine energy. So many of our present day ills stem from blocking the natural flow of energy from our higher natures, from the God within. The need to re-connect, to re-create the circuit through which Soul energy can flow is a crucial step in the healing process.
What is true for the individual is equally true for humanity as a whole. Many of the problems that we face in the world exist because we have distorted or blocked the divine circulatory flow from our higher, spiritual nature. Humanity today needs to strengthen this inner connection to enable the Soul energies of light and love to qualify human thought, activity and relationship. Our separative thinking has led us to lose sight of the reality of inner connectedness. The split between humankind's spiritual essence and its outer form has generated many forms of disease. Not only does it cause physical disease, but also psychological disturbance. The effects of this split can be seen too in other forms of disease such as the pollution and the environmental degradation that threaten so much of life on earth. How can we strengthen the flow of Soul energy into humanity? One initiative that is working to establish this re-connection, and which involves tens of thousands of people throughout the world is Triangles. Triangles is an idea for using techniques of meditation and visualisation to create a unifying web of light and goodwill through which spiritual energy can flow into human minds and hearts. People link each day in thought in threes, visualising each person as a point of light and feeling goodwill flowing between them. Having linked up in this way, light and love are visualised pouring into the triangle, energising it, vitalising it until it becomes a triangle of scintillating brilliance.
The energy is then released, directed out from each point of the triangle as light and goodwill, to flow across the network of triangles being created by people around the world. The Triangles service is challenging, yet really quite simple a few minutes dedicated thought each day. It is not necessary to be physically present with your two co-workers or to synchronise the timing of the link. Triangles workers use the Great Invocation to focus their appeal for light, love and spiritual direction. The Great Invocation voices in a simple and direct way humanity's need for light on its path, love in its relationships and the spiritual will to work for the good of the whole. The work is an act of service, a service to humanity and a service to the evolutionary process working out on our planet. But why form triangles? A triangle is a powerful symbol of the divine and the idea of the trinity lies at the heart of many spiritual traditions. It is an archetypal form, a basic energy pattern within the universe. The triangle acts as a focus for spiritual energy and energies, for energies emanating from the Soul. Triangles seeks to re-connect humanity to its Soul so that the healing energies of light and love can flow into the world, bringing goodwill and enlightened thought to bear upon world problems, healing divisions and fostering right human relations.

Working to Transform Relationships: With Each Other With the Planet
One of the most urgent problems facing humanity today is the relationship between us all and the natural world. Selfish and exploitative attitudes have dominated this relationship to such a degree that, now, much of the natural world is threatened. However, we can see over the past few decades a growing awareness of the need to transform human attitudes towards nature. And thanks to the dedicated work of spiritual and environmental groups and communities that have been working in this area, there is already a huge increase in the number of people who embody a more universal and inclusive vision. Yet many more people must respond to this soul urge if ecological disaster on a global scale is to be averted. TRIANGLES is a network of men and women who give time each day to visualise a flow of light and goodwill into human hearts and minds throughout the world. Linking in thought in threes, they create triangles of right relationship through which these energies can be released. Triangles workers use a world prayer The Great Invocation (see overleaf) invoking the light, love and spiritual will that will help to foster right relations, both with each other and with the planet.
Many ask, why work in triangles? The triangle has been recognised down the ages as a symbol of divinity and of our spiritual centre, the soul. Also, from earliest times human beings appear to have grasped the idea of the three-fold nature of the universe the divine, the human and the natural world. The idea of a trinity involving nature was central to ancient belief systems which held natural forces in awe and wonder. We might see such a trinity symbolising the relationship between humanity and the earth with the third point representing the sun, itself a symbol of the soul nature the centre of light and love within each of us that must qualify our individual and collective relationships with the natural world. We invite you to form a triangle and to link up with the network of light and goodwill being created by Triangles workers around the world. A few minutes each day given to strengthening the network will help to transform relationships: with each other with the planet. A quarterly Bulletin is sent to all Triangles members.

World Service
through the
We are living in one of the great crisis eras in all human history. Issues of peace and war, poverty and abundance, of racial, political and industrial conflict face us on every side. Religious divisions and the clash between age and youth are likewise prominent, and underlying all is the basic conflict between material and spiritual values, between self-interest and world service. And yet there is a universal recognition that humanity is entering a new age. Science has made the world one and human knowledge and intelligence are greater than ever before. Countless movements based on goodwill are attempting to create a better world and there is a growing recognition of humanitys essential unity. The realisation that the world has a spiritual destiny is also growing. Behind evolution there is an abiding purpose, which we call the Plan of God. The divine Plan can only work out through humanity. Each of us is responsible for understanding it, and for doing all we can in our daily living to express its meaning and significance. Humanity has the power, through focused united invocation, to affect world events. The massed thought power of men and women of goodwill can create a channel of communication between God and man through which spiritual energies can flow to heal and rebuild a troubled world. It is this power, properly used and directed, that can be humanitys saving force. For nearly seventy years Triangles has been working to mobilise and unite the thought power of men and women of goodwill. The method is very simple. Three people agree to unite mentally each day to invoke the power of light and goodwill in service to humanity. This number forms a triangle, the universal symbol of divinity. Each member of a triangle can form other triangles, and in this way a network of enlightened thought and goodwill encompasses the earth. The network of triangles thus formed: ... provides a channel for the circulation of constructive thought ... is a means of transforming the spiritual climate of the planet ... is a medium for the distribution of spiritual energies, lifting and transforming human life and consciousness. Today men and women of goodwill of every religion and philosophy, and every race and political conviction, are working in the Triangles network, finding a unity of prayer and invocation that transcends all differences of outer belief. Will you find two others to join with you in this world service and thus help to expand this network?

HOW TO DO THE WORK
The Triangles work is simple. It need take only a few minutes to perform and can be fitted into the most crowded programme. Each day members sit quietly for a few moments, in whatever part of the world they each may be, and link mentally with the other members of their triangle, or triangles. They invoke the energies of light and goodwill, visualise these energies as circulating through the three focal points and pouring outward through the network of triangles that envelops the world. At the same time they undertake to repeat the Great Invocation, thus helping to form a channel for the downpouring of light and love into the body of humanity. It is not necessary to synchronise the time at which the work is done, for once triangles links are built in mental substance, they can be brought alive when any one member does the work.
THE GREAT INVOCATION
... embodies these thoughts in a dynamic way, and is used every day by Triangles members as a world prayer: From the point of Light within the Mind of God Let light stream forth into the minds of men. The beauty and strength of this invocation lies in its simplicity, and in the expression of certain truths which all people innately and normally accept. Many religions believe in a World Teacher, known under such names as the Lord Maitreya, Krishna, Imam Mahdi and the Messiah, and these terms are used in some Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and Jewish versions of the Great Invocation.
Find two other people to link with you each day in thought, for a few moments of creative meditation. There is a unique potency in this triple relationship. According to all the World Scriptures, God works as a Trinity, and you can do the same in your own sphere, finding two other people of like mind to form a triangle of light and spiritual interplay. Each of the two can also, in their turn, do the same and thus a great network of light and of spiritual power can spread over the world. Through it the Forces of Light will be able to work and you, in your own place, will have aided and helped.
