    1. What is a music magazine?

    A music magazine is a magazine dedicated to music and music culture but may include other elements such as lifestyle or fashion.
    2. What content (text/copy/writing/articles/stories) would you expect to find in a music magazine? Such magazines typically include music news, interviews, essays, record reviews, concert

    reviews and occasionally have a cover mount with recorded music.


    3. What images would you expect to find in a music magazine? Some of the images you expect to find in a music magazine are photo shoots with the bands, singers the magazine interviews; 4. Identify general characteristics/ Features that you would expect to find in all music magazines. Some general characteristics all music magazines have are: large, bold and colourful fonts to grab the readers attention on the front cover; a large dominant picture of the main band and/or singer the magazine interviews on the front cover; thumbnails of other important articles inside the magazine; A masthead; advertisements in most magazines; competitions; pugs and puffs to grab the readers attention making them want to read inside to learn about whats written on that puff or pug; barcodes which are out of the way; a masthead along the top of the front cover telling the reader what the magazine is called; following the rule of thirds; a name that is always anchored to the main image on the front cover and a header and/or footer.
