    Perform steps 1 - 2 prior to installation.


    1.

    Turn off ignition and disconnect Cruise Control Amplifier. (+) pin 10 (-) pin 7 = between 7-15 ohms, IF NOT, STOP AND REPLACE

    TROUBLESHOOTING NOTES
    ORIGINAL UNIT PROBLEM Symptoms
    Unit will not engage.

    Test/Suspect Problems
    Faulty Cruise Control Actuator. (+) pin 10 (-) pin 7 = 7-15 ohms

    Solution
    Replace Cruise Control Actuator.

    NEW UNIT PROBLEMS Symptom


    Cruise Control will not engage.

    Test/Suspect Problem
    Blown Fuse. Poor connection between pins and connector on Cruise Control Amplifier. Burned out brake lamps. Faulty vehicle Speed Sensor.

    Solution
    Replace fuse. Check, clean and crimp connectors as needed. Replace brake lamps. Check and repair. Replace fuse. Repair/replace brake switch.

    Cruise Control will not disengage when brake is applied.

    Check fuse. Check brake switch. Depress brake pedal. (+) pin 8 (-) pin 14 = battery voltage
