Concord and 9th - Dies - Pop-up Burst Base

Add an interactive element to your handmade cards with the Pop-up Burst Base Dies from Concord and 9th. This 5-piece die set is designed to create dynamic, dimensional pop-up elements, perfect for adding a surprise to your card making and crafting projects. How to Use:

1. Die cut all the pieces: one each of the pop-up cone, banner, and risers, and two of each belly band.
2. Create a card base sized 8.5" x 5.5" and score at 4.25". Use the guide die to trace the notches and triangle with a pencil, aligning it with the score line and bottom of the card. Pencil marks will be covered later.
3. Fold along all score lines on the large side of the cone. Fold the small side over the large side in the opposite direction. Apply glue to the tab on the small piece and adhere it to the large side using the score lines as a guide. Allow it to dry completely.
4. Fold all score lines on the riser strips, then fold them into a rectangle to create the riser. Glue the ends together and let it dry.
5. Glue the tabs on both sides of the cone. Position the cone in the middle of the card, aligning the cone's score line with the card's score line and the cone tip with the triangle pencil mark. Press firmly and fold the card shut. Open and close it a few times to activate the pop-up feature.
6. Fold along all the banner score lines, creating a mountain fold in the center, and valley folds at the ends. Attach the banner tails using the score lines as a guide. Flip the banner over and glue the riser pieces onto the back using the stitched rectangle as a guide. (Stamp the banner before attaching the risers.)
7. Apply glue to the risers on the back of the banner. Align the left riser with the pencil mark and adhere. Let it dry before repeating with the right side. Ensure all score lines on the cone, banner, and card align for smooth opening and closing.
8. Fold along all score lines on the belly band pieces and adhere them together. The belly band slides over the card to keep it closed, with the clasp visible on either the front or back of the card.
9. Decorate the cone with die cuts, adding them to both layers for extra dimension.

Note: Be sure to stamp or stencil the card base interior before adhering the cone and banner.
