♥ HELM'S BAKERY "Daily at Your Door"

Helms Bakery operated on Venice Blvd. in Cuvler City CA from 1931 to 1969. Helms respectfully became the "official" baker to the Olympics in the 1930's. Every day, quaint blue & yellow trucks stopped in assigned neighborhoods to give a double "toot" on a whistle calling customers to come out into the street to buy freshly baked breads & pastries from wooden drawers in the back of the truck. In 2013, 44 yrs after closing, Helm's will re-open under the direction of Sherry Yard. /sr
