DIY tin can lantern for christmas. Fill an empty tin can with water and put it in the freezer. Leave it until the water has frozen into solid ice. Don't fill the can to the top, since water expands while freezing! Use a nail and a hammer to make the pattern you wish for your lantern. If you want to mark out the pattern, use a felt pen that isn't water-soluble... Tip; there will be some ice splashing; it's a good idea to put the tin can on a towel. Spray color as you wish.
