Science for Kids on Instagram: "Elephant Toothpaste Experiment Instructions: For this experiment, you can use an empty water bottle (~500 mL size works well) Step 1 - Pour about 120 mL of Hydrogen Peroxide (6% concentration) into the bottle. Add 15 mL of dish soap into the same bottle and mix gently. Ste 2 - add a few drops of color if you want your foam to look colored Step 3 - In a side container, mix together one tablespoon of yeast and three tablespoons of warm water. Stir for about 30 seconds.  Step4 - Pour the yeast mixture into the bottle tand watch your reaction go! Chemistry Explanation: When hydrogen peroxide gets in contact with yeast,  it starts breaking down into water and oxygen. Oxygen is a gas and therefore wants to escape the liquid. Roxan | Montessori Inspired | Toddler Activities on Instagram: "The Science Behind It:

This experiment shows what happens when you mix vinegar (which is sour) with baking soda (which is like a powder). They react and create tiny bubbles filled with air, just like when you open a soda can. These bubbles make the pumpkin foam and fizz.

Dish soap helps make even more bubbles, making it look like a volcano erupting.

If you add colorful drops, it’s like making the eruption look exciting with different colors.

So, this experiment is a fun way to learn how things can change when you mix them together, and it looks like a volcano erupting!

Have you tried this experiment?🎃
