Buying white bookcases when we were going to paint them black. Unfortunately we hadn’t made the decision of whether or not we were going to paint them yet, so we went with white since we thought we might leave them white. If we had known for sure we’d be painting them black, we would have bought the dark brown color since any scratches wouldn’t be as noticeable. 2. Buying glass panel doors then trying to paint them. Unfortunately when we painted the original glass panel doors we purchased for this project, paint seeped in between the glass and the frames unevenly.
