Casting themselves as the victims in discussions about racism, many white people defensively deflect from the issue, complaining that it’s actually people of color causing racial division (“race-baiting”) by pointing out its existence in the first place.
A big part of the reason I stopped reading mainstream comics is because of the incredible rampant sexism most comics have so deeply embedded in them. The audience for mainstream comics is changing, but the medium isn't. How much of that audience is picking up indie comics and printed webcomics instead?
