Tiny Plate - Grasses Hard to Find Approximately 4.125" x 1" Hand painted Hand thrown Signed Her work has been represented in galleries and exhibitions across the country, including Pewabic Pottery in Detroit, Lillstreet Gallery in Chicago, and Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Each plate is hand-thrown and painted, then glazed and woodfired in a kiln. No two are exactly alike! Each plate is 4.125 inches in diameter.
This high-quality studio ceramic art vase was created by the German ceramist Hanne Wydra-Jantz during the 1980s who established her own pottery workshop in Olsberg-Gevlinghausen in 1978. The object features an impressive ceramic glaze. It comes with its own ceramic standing ring, which allows the vase to be freely positioned at different angles and to arrange a sculptural ensemble. Ceramic bud vase. This small envelope bud vase holds just a few flowers or greens and fits easily on your desk or counter. It is made from white stoneware slabs and has a decorative wire "handle" added. Choose from natural stoneware combined with either a classic white glaze or with a metallic bronze glaze. Beautiful and quirky handmade ceramic set of six pastel coloured Raku houses with wire smoke and tv aerial. Pastel colours in order from left to right: grey, green, tan, blue, white and pink. Handmade from scratch using the finest quality clay. PLEASE NOTE: Sizing does not include wire smoke, height with wire smoke = 9cm. Raku is a traditional Japanese technique. A rustic if somewhat precarious technique using all of nature's elements, earth, air, fire and water. The work is fired to a high temperature of almost 1000c in a gas fired kiln. It is then removed whilst still very hot and plunged into sawdust. The pieces catch fire and the carbon from the smoke infiltrates the cracks in the glaze. The pieces are then left to cool and then scrubbed clean with water.
