MIXED MEDIA ATC FOLDER

Create this cute little ATC folder with our envelope template and kraft paper, then decorate with a few mixed media techniques. Here are the step by step instructions.

Fundamentals classes – May & June 2024

Classes are running again at the Mixed Media Art Studio – Melbourne, Australia – focussing on art journaling and gel printing, in our wonderful, fully air-conditioned studio space and in a supportive atmosphere! So if you have ever thought of getting started in art journaling and / or gel printing – or have tried and feel like you don’t know what you are doing – then these are the classes for YOU!

Making LOTs of ATCs

Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are wonderful little pieces of art that are traded between crafters. For a crafting show, ATCs are often traded between other attendees as a memento of the occasion. Sometimes there may be a theme to guide the participants. The challenge of making lots of ATCs for these shows is to keep the design simple and one you can easily replicate many times.

Ready for a wonderfully arty 2024?

For Mixed Media Art, 2024 will include in person craft shows PLUS in person & online art classes. Makers, Arts & Crafts at the Train & Hobby show, From Picture to Page papercraft shows in May & October, Paperific Expo at the Flemington Racecourse in August plus The Papercraft show at the Hawkesbury Showgrounds in November.

Taking the leap from Hobbyist to Full-Time Artist

Many people thought Keri Sallee was crazy when she quit her job to become a full-time artist in the mixed media world. It was never something that she had considered until she met an amazing woman named Cheryl Boglioli. This home-school mom/medical transcriptionist turned full-time artist has become her mentor as she figured out her way in this new territory. Keri wants to share some of Cheryl’s wisdom and experience with you.

What is Mixed Media Art?

The term “mixed media art” is a broad definition that covers many arts and crafts, including collage, assemblage (both 2D and 3D), altered objects, including books and boxes, handmade greeting cards, artist trading cards (ATCs) and tags, art journalling and book making.
