Ryan Reynolds showed his admiration for Wrexham Women star Lili Jones as he heralded her sublime lofted effort against Swansea City as one of his all-time 'favourite' goals.
The Red Dragons may have slumped to a 3-2 defeat in front of 2,000 spectators at the Racecourse Ground against their Welsh rivals but the Hollywood star still could not hide his pride. It had looked as though the home side had secured a point from behind as they equalized through Rosie Hughes just ten minute's from the end.
However, Swansea's Ellie Lake had other ideas as she struck in stoppage time to break Wrexham hearts in the 92nd minute of proceedings. Despite the visitors travelling back south with the spoils on the afternoon, however, Dragons co-owner Reynolds appeared pleased with what he had witnessed during the thriller.
Of particular note for the Hollywood superstar chairman was the wonderstrike by Wrexham midfielder Jones - who scored her team's first goal of the afternoon. A sumptuous lob over the opposition stopper from some 40 yards out, her audacious effort will put her firmly in the frame for the Goal of the Season prize.
