Vanessa Feltz has spilled on the reality of dating as a celebrity as she made a shocking claim about a famous celebrity dating app.

The radio and TV presenter, 62, decided to step back into the dating pool following her devastating breakup. Her world was rocked over Christmas in 2022 when she discovered that her partner of 16 years, Ben Ofoedu was unfaithful. Vanessa has since been on E4 show Celebs Go Dating and despite not finding love with the experts help, she is not giving up hope.

The This Morning guest decided to turn to dating apps in an effort to find her 'Prince Charming'. Many celebrities have been turning to Raya to find love - an exclusive membership-based dating app. In her quest for love, Vanessa admitted Tinder wasn't quite right considering her celebrity status.

"I know what you’re thinking," she wrote in the Daily Mail. "Isn’t there a special secret ‘celebrity app’ where dazzlingly famous folk flirt and frolic clandestinely? Don’t you have to pass a ‘celebrity test’ to qualify? Hasn’t Vanessa heard of it? Of course I’ve heard of it!" She then offering a jaw-dropping verdict of the app.

Vanessa added: "I’m not going to dob in the soap star who described the site as ‘full of 18-year-old Russian prostitutes and David Walliams ’. I didn’t try it because two nurses earwigging our conversation at an adjoining table pitched in to tell me not to bother. Both ward sisters signed up with high hopes of hobnobbing with superstars and were disappointed."

Raya comes with a tough vetting process and extremely strict rules with more than 100,000 people on the waiting list. The likes of Channing Tatum, David Walliams, Harry Styles, Cara Delevingne, and Emilia Clarke are all said to have used it. Amy Schumer met her now-husband on the app, which only has about 10,000 members around the world.

Coleen Nolan revealed to the Mirror that she once tried the app. She told us: "I went on Raya for two days and thought oh God no, no. Because they're all very beautiful people. All rich and successful. The age of the guy that I would want - because I've always wanted someone my own age or older - will be on there looking for a 25-year-old."

The Loose Women star found love on Tinder instead, having met her partner Michael on the app in 2021. Coleen revealed she did see "loads of celebs” on Raya but they didn't turn her head. Rylan Clark reportedly signed up to Raya earlier this year. He is said to have used his stage name Rylan and listed his job as 'TV presenter' in his profile. It's been reported that his interests are listed as 'television, gym and swimming'.

David and Victoria Beckham's son Romeo also turned to the app following his split from long-term girlfriend, Mia Regan. He was spotted looking for love again on Raya less than two weeks after announcing that he and Mia have called it quits on their five year romance.

A source told the Mirror: "Romeo is on Raya. His profile is colourful but subtle and his bio says he's a 'professional footballer'. His photos are mostly just him on his own and he doesn't have any with his famous dad David or mum Victoria. He looks gorgeous in them all and it's doubtful that any girl in their right mind would swipe left on him."
