Lifetime has announced an upcoming slate of six original movies, set to air this fall, each inspired by true crime stories. The “Ripped From the Headlines” movies will feature stars such as Heather Locklear, Ana Ortiz, and Lyndsy Fonseca.

‘The Girl Who Wasn’t Dead’
Premiering on October 5th, this movie tells the story of a missing teenager who is presumed dead, only to reappear years later. Starring Lyndsy Fonseca, Emma Tremblay, and Kyle Clark, the film looks into the mysterious circumstances surrounding the girl’s disappearance and her secret life in hiding.

‘Nobody Dumps My Daughter’
On October 12th, Ana Ortiz takes centre stage as an overbearing mother whose obsession with her daughter’s relationship leads to a dark turn of events. The movie explores the lengths to which a parent’s love can drive them, blurring the lines between protection and control.

‘Husband, Father, Killer: The Alyssa Pladl Story’
Directed by Elisabeth Rohm, this film airs on October 19th, focusing on a disturbing story of adoption, incest, and betrayal. Starring Jackie Cruz, Matreya Scarrwener, and Matthew MacCaull, it follows a young woman’s journey as she deals with a toxic relationship and its devastating consequences.

‘Searching for a Serial Killer: The Regina Smith Story’
Karrueche Tran stars in this true crime drama, airing on November 9th. The movie follows a rookie police officer’s determination to catch a notorious serial killer.
