The Frozum (フロウザム Furouzamu) is a new enemy introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising. It is one of the few enemies in the game that can utilize ice-based attacks.
Characteristics
Frozum looks like a floating mass of ice with a furry, yeti-like face, two yellow eyes, and a frozen drop of water leaking from its snout. This monster often resides in cooler locations due to its frozen body structure, and has the ability to produce dangerous blizzards. When attacking, its eyes glow bright red and a pair of icy antlers grow out of its head. The attack does a steady amount of damage, but it lasts a while, has a wide range, and has the potential to freeze Pit.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising
Frozums are very rare enemies encountered almost exclusively during The Seafloor Palace, where they are introduced along with the similarly ice-based Snowman. Like the latter, this is probably due to the Frozum preferring areas with colder temperatures, such as in the Seafloor Palace. This creature also has one of the farthest reaching non-projectile attacks in the game.
Idol Description
These members of the Underworld Army dwell in frostbitten climates. To attack, they summon powerful blizzards capable of freezing anybody who comes too close. In warmer locales, Frozum are kept as pets that can double as air conditioners.
Trivia
- Like the Snowman, Frozum was possibly inspired by the legendary Yeti due to its icy body and white fur.
