The 2024 edition of Electric Picnic is still a few weeks away, but orgainsers have already confirmed some details for next year's festival.
While the annual three-day music festival in Co Laois usually takes place during the first weekend in September, this year's event is taking place two weeks earlier – on August 16-18 - with festival director Melvin Benn confirming that the change in date has been made in an effort to accommodate the touring schedules of artists.
But organisers have now confirmed that Electric Picnic will return to its regular slot next year, with the 2025 festival set to take place from August 29 to 31 next year.

The confirmation of next year's dates comes as organisers announced that registration for the Electric Picnic 2025 Loyalty Scheme is now open.
The Electric Picnic Loyalty Scheme offers festival goers the chance to purchase tickets for next year's festival at a discounted price as a way of thanking them for returning to Electric Picnic.
The deadline to register for the 2025 Loyalty Scheme is 12pm, Friday August 9 and orgainsers have warned that no registrations will be accepted after this point.
They also say that a new registration is required in order to access loyalty codes for Electric Picnic 2025 – even if you have received a code in the past.
There are two discounts available and they apply to the following:
- If you have purchased tickets to any 3 or more previous Electric Picnics
- If you have purchased tickets to 1 or 2 previous Electric Picnics
You can register for the Electric Picnic 2025 Loyalty Scheme here.
Electric Picnic will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, with tickets selling out within an hour of going on sale back in September.
The line-up for the 2024 festival was announced in April, with legendary pop superstar Kylie Minogue, chart-topping DJ Calvin Harris and Stick Season singer Noah Kahan confirmed as headliners.
The trio will be joined in Stradbally by the likes of RAYE, Gerry Cinnamon, Peggy Gou, NAS, Faithless and Kasabian, along with a number of homegrown acts such as Kodaline, Jazzy, Kneecap, Damien Dempsey and the Wolfe Tones, who return to Electric Picnic to perform on the Main Stage following the record crowds at Electric Arena last year.
