Shamrock Rovers have announced that their potential title-winning clash with Waterford is almost sold out.
With three days to go before their final match of the 2024 League of Ireland season, more than 8,500 tickets have been snapped up by Hoops fans who are desperate to see their heroes make history.
Rovers would win an unprecedented five-in-a-row with a win against the Blues and a failure by Shelbourne to pick up all three points away to Derry City.

The tightest finish to a season in a decade will see all eyes on Tallaght Stadium and the Brandywell.
Fans who don’t make either game will be able to watch them on television, with RTÉ broadcasting both games live on Friday night.
Shels’ trip north will be shown on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player, while Rovers’ game will be shown on the RTÉ News Channel and the RTÉ Player.
However, fans who want to see the action in the flesh will have to be quick, with just East Stand tickets remaining for Tallaght Stadium, which will have a capacity of just over 10,000 for the game.

The 8,500 figure includes Rovers’ 3,500 season ticket holders - but the likelihood of too many of those either not turning up or passing on their ticket is slim.
