When it comes to finding a new mascara, the main criteria we're after in a product is giving our lashes drama, volume and a beautiful, fluttery length. As beauty enthusiasts and journalists, we have the pleasure of finding and testing out the latest mascaras, from Charlotte Tilbury's new Exagger-eyes mascara to Maybelline's latest Burgundy Haze.
One of the latest launches that had us giddy to try was Sculpted by Aimee's new LashLift mascara, which hit the market just a few weeks ago, promising 'lifted, longer-looking lashes' that feel weightless - with just one coat. Available in two stunning shades - deep, jet Ultra Black and Rich Brown - this mascara has even convinced makeup enthusiasts to abandon their eyelash curlers and false lashes in favour of this €23 product, available on the Sculpted by Aimee website and at retailers like Selfridges.
With its unique 252 multi-level bristle brush, beauty writers Tiffany Lo and Eve Rowlands put the mascara to the test to see how it compared to other industry favourites - and it's safe to say it's been a success.

Eve tried the Ultra Black mascara and said:
"As someone with relatively unimpressive natural lashes - they're dark thanks to my brunette hair but lack curl, length and lift - I was really excited to see the results of this 'LashLift' mascara that has received so much positive feedback.
"My go-to products, which I consistently switch between, are Maybelline's Sky High mascara with intermissions of Iconic London's Triple Threat, both adored for their lash-lengthening prowess and voluminous finish. However, they face stiff competition from Sculpted By Aimee's latest offering. The packaging is incredibly stylish, housed in a sturdy mauve-pink matte bottle that's more robust than most I've encountered. The wand is slightly thicker on one side and curved to ensure all lashes receive maximum coverage," reports Bristol Live.
"I appreciate the abundance of bristles as it allows for easy combing without clumping, especially when applying multiple coats. While Aimee herself claimed that a single coat provides an 'astronomical lift', I found that I needed two (or three for a more dramatic effect).
"But after two coats - using the method she demonstrated on the website - I was thrilled with how my lashes appeared. They were noticeably fuller and longer, without looking spidery or clunky. They looked impressively lifted, thick and voluminous - beautifully framing my eyes and achieving the fluttery effect I desired.
"The mascara felt lightweight on my lashes, just as promised. The best part for me was that it didn't irritate my sensitive eyes - a problem I've had with some mascaras in the past. That's probably down to the 'nourishing' formula. Removing it was also easy - just a bit of warm water and the mascara slid off without needing much product afterwards.
"While it didn't give me a complete false lash effect - as some users have claimed - it did lift my lashes more than I expected and kept them full, long and dramatic all day. However, it's not waterproof; a few tears (from watching my favourite TV show, promise) could leave you looking like a raccoon.
Despite this, I'll definitely be adding it to my shopping cart when I run out. You can get it in black here for €23.
As for the Rich Brown mascara?
Tiffany tried the Rich Brown mascara and said:
"When it comes to eye makeup, a black mascara seems to be a no-brainer but I'm tempted to try something different and as soon as I found that Sculpted by Aimee's new mascara is available in Rich Brown, I was excited.
"To test if it does what it claims, I ditched my eyelash curler and copied the techniques from founder Aimee Connolly. The mascara bottle is chunky and shaped like a glowstick but surprisingly lightweight, especially compared to the Charlotte Tilbury glass bottle Exagger-eye Mascara. Applying the mascara was pretty easy and the bristles didn't get clumped because of the silicone material.
"Coat by coat, I noticed my short lashes getting longer and as I closed my eyes while brushing it upwards, the transformation was magical. I used to think I can't live without an eyelash curler but the result speaks for itself and the brown colour gives a 'natural look' to the classic black.
"The only thing I wish they could add is a spikey bulb at the tip of the wand so it could reach the short inner corner lashes. It got slightly messy when I tried to brush around the corners but I could simply remove them with a cotton bud."
