"Going Home" The Short, Trailer
"Going Home" is a short film we produced to bring more awareness to why many of our service men and woman that have done their duty, completed and performed their service to their country are still not "Going Home"
The physical injuries suffered by our military personnel will often lead to them being sent home, usually with an honorable discharge and maybe even some commendations. However, not all of the injuries suffered are physical. The mental anguish and stress of what they may have witnessed or been part of in the field or just the stress of missing their loved ones, missing important moments in the lives of their families, can sometimes take a devastating toll.
What may not be known or acknowledged by the powers that be, and needs to be addressed, is that there are many service men and woman who are not allowed to go home because they may be suspected of having not just mental, but emotional issues. What happens to them?
Our short film "Going Home" is the story of a 30 year Marine who feels he has done his duty, and wants to tell his family that he is finally going home. The question is, is he ready, and what will happen to him. We hope to shed a light on this predicament that will help led to a solution, and answer the question of what happens to our men and women in this situation.
